What’s peoples thoughts? Been to Xtasia a few times and thinking about checking out Chams

You'll get loads of responses saying Chams is better. They're very different clubs and every club night is different. We would say go to Chams and see for yourself, they have onsite accommodation so no need for a taxi.

The majority it spoke to at Xtasia was saying stick there and don’t bother with Chams. I guess everyone has their favourite.

I just wanted to know in what sense they’re different as never really got an answer?

Had some great times at Xtasia and met some lovely people

I'd say the biggest difference is Xtasia is more like a 'regular' club dress wise but Chams is a sauna based club, so towels etc. We've been to both and it's good they are different, variety being the spice of life...

We have been to both, very different clubs in what to expect. Chams is a dress down sauna type where you will see more people playing as it's easier. Xtasia is a nightclub feel, we found not as much play happens here. It usually happens back at the hotels.

Would second this not much play goes on at xtasia or at least it hasn't when I've been but chams you have a lot more rooms to play in and open rooms including the round room and cinema plus the jacuzzi also prefer the atmosphere at chams but that is personal opinion

Member of both and love both. Depends what sort of mood you are in.

Xtasia is smart casual dress with dress down if you wish / as the night goes on. Good for socialising but not in your face if you’re new to the club scene.

Chams is dress down ( guys in shorts or towels and ladies dressed to impress vibe ) so if you’re not body confident it could be an issue.

I find chams more sexy and good play rooms, I find xtasia fun and a lot more relaxed.

I will say I’ve had issues at chams when there with a lady with guys following lots and had to report to management who felt with them straight away, never had that at xtasia.

Best thing todo is go try both as both very different clubs

We use to be big fans of Chams and used it as our main play club, but then after covid it seems that the party vibe in Xtasia opens up a lot more opportunities to play and since they have changed the club it is much more play friendly. We would say it depends on the crowd and how you are feeling.

If you want to chill and relax then chams is your place, but if you want to party and flirt and dance then Xtasia is the place to be.

The differences have pretty much been covered. In our experience both clubs are good and we've enjoyed both. But it's like comparing apples and pears in terms of format. Our favourite is Chameleons. Dress down suits us more and we can just be care free and have lots of fun. But the way to know which club is for you is to try both, ideally twice (in case you went to one on an off night).

As a single guy membership can be difficult and expensive. So I'd recommend looking for parties at Chameleons where you can get yourself on the guest list.

I haven't been to xstasia but Chams is absolutely my favourite club in the UK. Been to clubs in Leeds and London and Chams stands out by a mile. Realise I'm not being helpful with the comparison but I'll always shout about Chams where I can!

I'm a member of both and both are good for very different reasons

I'll be going on the 25th Feb and possible on the 23rd if my plans for that night fall through

By the end of next week I'll be so relaxed and chilled out I won't want to go to work the following week ...lol

My first time at xtasia I was followed which made me uncomfortable. After the third time of telling them to leave me alone they listened.

Both are great clubs and have their own way of doing things.

I’ve never played at xtasia but I did at chams.

As many say both are good clubs and we are members of both, both offer a good night out, both are clean and safe, the issue of single guys following females happens occasionally at all clubs, both chams and xtasia staff respond excellently if reported. For us we edge towards chams as we find it more relaxed especially between social areas and play areas. Taking off of clothes at xtasia for us and ensuring there safe (your wallet etc as its pay at bar in xtasia, chams is pay on exit) can dampen the mood somewhat also think its harder for folks to judge you when wrapped in a towel or just shorts for the guys. Clothes etc aren't a status symbol.

We prefer xstasia. We like the idea of having a choice to go between the buildings and the staff are great. We enjoyed our last visit for the foam party.

Chams we just couldn’t get comfortable enough to want to play. Must have just been the atmosphere that particular night I’m not sure but it won’t stop us going again to give it another try

I would agree with this, although fully accept people have got their own things that sway them towards one or another. I am a sucker for a jacuzzi too!!!

We’ve not tried Xtasia but we love Chams. Everybody is always friendly, staff are lovely, and we always have fun. Love the round room and then finishing up with “us time” in the jacuzzi.

Like most have said , you can’t compare them …

For me if you want to go to an environment with drink and plenty of chat then go to xtasia .. and I love xtasia …

But for me , Chams is right down closer to the action , especially if your a voyeur , towel off late on and walk round naked , I love it and always have a great night ….
