Does anyone know if there are any disabled friendly clubs in nwest never been to one but would like to go have a look

best thing to do would be to phone the clubs up with specific details - if stairs are an issue then cupids would be tricky - adam and eves might be a load easier

The short answer Boywonder is that none of the clubs in the Northwest are disabled friendly.

It does depend on what your disability is, to an extent.

If you need to use a wheelchair to move around and thats your only means of movement, then honestly no club will be able to accomodate you. If you are able to move yourself around via crutches then you have more potential.

Adam & Eves is set over 4 floors, the basement (which has a play area and 2 private rooms) plus the 1st floor and the loft (which doubles as the smoking area) are only accesible via stairs that are fairly narrow. The ground floor has a reception, a tv room and a pool table room with seats, then a couple of steps up to the jacuzzi and sauna. In all my visits to Adam & Eves (and to any other club for that matter) I have only ever seen one lady at A&E whom was physically disabled. She was able to move herself about via crutches, but to get from the basement back upstairs she literally hauled herself up a step at a time on her bottom up the stairs.

Cupids has off memory a couple of flights of wide stairs to negotiate to get into the club. It then has 2 large floors, the main one having a dance area, changing rooms and various play rooms, then down a widish set of stairs to the gents loo and further playrooms.

I've had to assume your disability is physical in terms of movement as you haven't stated, if it's something else like for example blindness, then apart from the usual difficulties any blind person would have, all the clubs would be accessiblle.

Clubs like Partners and Liaisons and TownHouse all have similar issues to those detailed above, and I would assume but don't know for certain that the No 3 club and those in Blackpool have the same issues.

If you are a wheelchair user, it would be worthwhile contacting No3. The club is on the 1st floor, but, as far as I know, there is lift access to it. The club is all on one level, so access to the facilities shouldn't be too restricted.

I have seen a wheelchair user in there but unsure of the lift

The lift isn't in use at No 3, vut the staff will always assist.

Once you're in, everything is on one level. Happy days!

In know it`s not in the NW and this is the only time I will say this ..... forget Chams! My friend used a walking stick and used to cause traffic jams on the stairs! Sadly disability and Chams do not go together

Thinking about it, Partners isn`t much better although you would be able to use the sauna if you`re restricted to one floor.

Not much, but at least there's 2 sets of stairs, and the back ones tend to be quieter and are nowhere near as steep!
