"We've been looking at different club to visit throughtout the uk but are finding reading some of the club reveiw sections a bit of a minefield.
We've noted that there seems to be certain people on fab reveiwing clubs amd almost trying to play some clubs off againt other (i.e raving about their fav one then slagging other clubs in the area off at the same time). Has anyone else noted this sort of reveiwing going on (theres 2 specific areas I've spotted it in.....the south west n stoke areas).
We've visited atlantis before and enjoyed there also xtasia but that has been over a year ago before it was took over and wasn't a good expereince (apart from socials when we knew loads there anyway), also Radletts which we had great fun at on both occassions we had visited the couples night.
We're looking to go further a field for fun so wandered if anyone had personal unbiased opinions on clubs say manchester way or south yorks ways."
Well first off Annie & Simon, I can't comment about the South West but your definately right about the 2 clubs in Stoke, Adventures in Lust & Atlantis Evolution.
The club review section for both club is almost rendered useless because of the infighting between reviewers of both clubs that sometimes spill over into the forums too. I don't know the reason for it, presumerably both clubs dislike each other, but whatever it is, it actually does both clubs a dis-service as it kinda puts me off visiting both places.
Covering Xtasia next, I was actually there last Friday night at a Swinging Heaven Social, there was probably close on 100 people there if not more. As you have been before, I'll simply say the old couples room has changed dramatically into lots of new lockable rooms with a smaller couples room. The work that has taken place is good, but the club is a work in progress, for example the social area was pretty much a dead zone as theres nothing u0p there, though they are putting in a new bar, so I think it will take some time for the club to become really good again but you can see it's on it's way. I'm a member of Xtasia and like this club a lot.
Now. looking around Manchester as per your post.
I won't name all the clubs up that way as you can easily see them for yourselves, but I wil comment on the ones I have been too or know of from friends.
Adam & Eves in Eccles, Manchester. This is a basic club spread over 4 floors with currently 2 private rooms in the basement and the other play areas all being open rooms. It's kind of set back in time in a nice way, in that it has a pool room jacuzzi and sauna. It is a very clean club and I'd say one of the friendliest and most welcoming around not just by the hosts but by the people whom attend the club too. It has a good selection of couples and single ladies whom attend, many of whom are regulars and has a fair quantity of single guys there too. If your a couple whom simply doesn't like the presence of single guys in a club, then it won't be for you, but if you like single guys being present and talkative, then you'll enjoy the place. as witrh all clubs theres no "reqyuirement" to play with single guys, butit's the type of club where your unlikely to go into a open room and not to have single guys in there with you. I'm a member of this club and personally I like it a lot.
Cupids in Swinton, I haven't been for quite a while but it has been massively refurbished and come complete with a camera room and even a dogging room. I think this club is more couples orientated, although it does have plenty of single guys in the place too. Generallyspeaking I've heard good reports of this club from couples and singles that I have spoken to, the only real negative being that the price shown on the website was allegedly higher on the door on arrival as it was a party night. I cannot confirm or deny this though I trust the people whom told me to be telling the truth.
Partners in Bury is a fairly large club with many different facets to it, but it's USP is that it has probably the largest wet zone in the North West. I haven't been for several years so can't give you any more up to date info.
