We're planning a trip to Amsterdam in the next week or so. Here to ask, has anyone been to Fata Morgana and would be up for giving us some advice about this place please...

Also, is anyone here going to Amsterdam soon and would be up for a meet?

Fantastic place, classy, best club we have been to,we booked in by emailing them first of all just to make sure we got in.

It's about a 50€ euro taxi from Amsterdam but we'll worth it .

" would also love to hear some reviews about the club. "

We found it to be in a league above English clubs. Every review of it I have seen on here has been 100% positive

London

Not been there since the start of 2020, but we wanted to chime in and also say that it is an incredible club. It is on a massive scale, couples only and there is exceptional behaviour. The dark room there is the best we've been to anywhere in the world, and every area has a different, classy vibe. You can also grill a steak while butt naked which is unconventional! We've only been in winter but really want to go in summer when their outside area is open too!

We've usually just uber'd in and out but one time none were available and the club called a city taxi for us. The only advice we can think of is that you might want to bring flip flops or similar for footwear after dressing down as the lockers are a long way from the play areas. The club is not shy about announcing itself with big, illuminated billboards so your taxi driver will definitely know where you are going when you get close!

Suuuuuuuuper sexy place. We were there on a couples night before the Big You Know What and at the appointed hour the song played to dress down. Sounds corny but oh it was the start of a magical evening, dancing led to all the many pathways to rooms and play areas which soon filled with lip biting passion….sigh, take us with you, we wanna go back!! Xo

Definitely on our to do list.

We read about it on the Couple of Secrets blog and that was it.. We're in!

Not sure if I'm allowed to post a link to the article but Google it, well worth a read.. Tips on where to stay and transport and all sorts.

But yep, have to get there. Just a question of when? Next year hopefully.

Zurich. NOT London.

One of our favourite clubs, especially when we lived in The Netherlands. We used to make a weekend of it and stay at the Van Der Valk Hotel at Almere.

"We have been pricing up for a four day trip over. And wondered the best area of the city to stay in that’s not too far from FM."

Fata Morgana is in Muiden, so about 16km from the centre of Amsterdam, or about 50€ in a taxi.

This is where the bloggers recommended (copy & paste) .. Not sure if that remains the best option?

"Sleeping over in Muiden

If you’re visiting Fata Morgana and you are not from around Amsterdam you will probably need somewhere to sleep. Unless you want to spend a weekend in Amsterdam (and visit the Red Light District) it doesn’t make sense to take an Amsterdam hotel. Hotels and parking are both expensive. We normally stay in Abcoude. We have also stayed once at the Van Der Valk Hotel in Almere. It is very close and of a good standard. The Fata Morgan site suggest also the NH Hotel in Naarden."

Just been reading their site. What do they mean by "dress code"? S usually wears lingerie and/or a sexy dress, J normally wears smart trousers and a nice shirt. Does that qualify? Tx x

Dress code on the website refers to dress down, from 9pm on a Saturday, from opening on a Friday.

15-20mins, a local taxi company were doing a fixed price thing, will see if we still have the number, but uber works well. We have shared several cabs both from and to the hotel, look for the sexy dresses and heels in the bar!

Another option is the Erotic Cinemas in places like Arnhem (all regional all about 60 mins train from Amsterdam) ... think small club settings that have straight and non-straight cinema rooms, other facilities and loads of good play spaces. x A & G

Non essential shops close at 6pm. Mouthmask mandatory in shops. Essential shops at 8pm.

Cheshire

We have been.

PROS

Huge place. I mean huge.

Quite classy. Nice play rooms.

Fairy attractive clientele on the whole.

No single men (a bonus for us but depends on you!)

Good music and dance floor. Like a disco/club.

All-inclusive premium drinks (either bar or self-service)

Actually had a lovely sit down meal before we got changed which was mental. We don’t eat much before play but you could have a car very if you wished haha.

Best facilities (playrooms etc) we have ever seen. Has a huge outdoor area with swimming pool and sun loungers etc.

CONS

A bit of a trek to get there. We contacted the club and they collected us from the centre in a lovely private hire car. We also found it more of an experience for a voyeur in that we didn’t see much (if any) swapping or group play. Mainly seemed to be couples sticking with one another and just playing in the company of others rather than any swinging.

Would definitely recommend it.

I would check the opening times due to the partial lockdown in the Netherlands.

I believe they were open todayb2pm till 8pm but that's it.

Yes we have been several times and there is a whole smoking room with glass walls in the middle of the club the joins onto the bar/dancefloor room

We went about 15 years ago to this club. If is a trek from Amsterdam but just budget accordingly for your taxi. It is a huge club and I second the statement about the dark room.. it was definately pitch black . From what I recall there is a large hot tub also. It is a very sexy club and I would be surprised if you don't have a great time x

Northampton

We went to this club last night after being Amsterdam for the weekend. To say it's next level is an understatement.

150 euro entry for couples but then it's all inclusive branded alcohol, a restaurant, ice cream parlour and pour your own beer station.

Music is spot on if you like EDM, it's loud but there are plenty of places to chat as the club is huge. Three floors of rooms all laid out really well with soft furnishings and sheets on beds.

The club felt really busy and the Dutch are super chilled out and friendly. We were the only two English people in there but that didn't matter.

As some have said getting there can be a challenge. If coming from central Amsterdam Uber can be challenging and expensive. We got the train from dam centraal to a town called Weesp for 5 euro and then a 10 euro Uber from Weesp to the club. Getting home was super easy. 30 euro Uber and the club are super helpful with taxis.

Anyone in visting Amsterdam should consider going as there certainly isn't anything as good as this place in the UK.
