Hi

Pre covid we were regular at the attic. Especially party nights.

We are pondering going back but.. I have put on a kilo so am a bit nervous and self conscious (never used to be). I've also turned 50.

Also we're so nervous about covid..

Has anyone else felt the same? If so did you go back? How did you find it?

Boston, Lincolnshire

We've been back a few times and will be back again soon.

There have been some room changes, but the overall feel is the same.

It's quite an open club so not confined.

I'm hoping for a revisit soon as its a bloody good club with very nice people

That good I travel up from south wales !

Well with this kind of thing just do what your comfortable with. I think most of us have gotten a bit older and put on abit of weight on over the lockdown so I wouldn’t worry about that at all. I must admit when first started going back to clubs I was hyper paranoid but I’ve now settled down to being like normal again.

It’s a big club so if your worried you could start by going back on the quieter nights instead of party nights and see how feel.

Is the attic busy on Saturday nights that are not special event ones?

Get yourselves back into the swing of things.

The more you hesitate, the more you'll find excuses not to go.

Dip your toes back in and see how you feel after

I think you look great! Even if you put on 20 kilos you’d still be a stunner. I’m hoping to go on Saturday. Hope you’re there!

A little bit more weight than before the pandemic - yes, we both felt we had some extra curvy bits we didn't before.

A concern about covid itself at vlubs - yes. Its been drummed into us for 18 months, its natural.

We went through exactly the same mindset before returning to clubs a couple of weeks ago.

Once we got there it was like being home again, everything felt right and we had an amazing time. Now, it feels as though we were never away, and are loving this part of our lives again.

Go for it, and I'm sure you'll have a great night once again xx

So I’m inking if going for the first time to an evening event but unsure what it’s like for a single male as I don’t know anyone. Is it a friendly environment and single men welcome?

Man ... you definitely need to lose that kilo pmsl

You must be joking hahaha

Was just going through your profile and one kilo makes no difference , im sure you gonna lose it in one night at the club if you are getting “busy” lol

Nothing Daft about being a little anxious and self conscious, perfectly natural, I'm the same age and felt just you are feeling. Go and dip your toes again, life's too short xxx
