We're doing BOTH tonight. WT is free if you get there before 100 people have arrived, then we'll go on to Steamers later.

Depends what you're looking for - Steamers is a "swingy sauna", with a small dungeon, nice sauna, steam, jacuzzi. Within Temptation is much more of a club environment, big dungeon, lots of different playroomssauna, warm pool, BUT its new and there have been (probably still are) teething problems.

We’ve been to Steamers a couple

Of times. It’s a bit of a labyrinth but friendly and lots to explore and play. Not been to WT yet but new club teething problems have brought a fair fee off reviews. Hard to tell if they are sour grapes or the plentiful unicorn positive reviews are mates. Hard to imagine a club that has that many unicorns going but also hard to imagine it’s as bad as some reviews suggest. Sounds a bit desperate to offer 100 free tickets though. Bet that will be the busiest night they have had if all of them go.

With 100 free tickets at WT last night, you’d think there would be a few reviews floating about? Anyone actually go last night got any feedback? Lots seems to be going against it but still want to be able to give it a chance if poss.

We went last night and had avery good time. All the problems that had been there in tha past seem sorted. We've left a review in the clubs section. There is one rather worrying review there though, which we'd like to know a little more about as we didn't see anything untoward, actually exactly the opposite, although we were rather occupied in the big playroom most of the night so might have missed what happened

Yeah I saw the reviews. Actually trust your reviews but also trust the guys with the worrying review. Bit mad that both can be so different. Find it strange how they get so many unicorn reviews. Are there many clubs that have more unicorns than anyone else?? Did many go last night?

Hi. We can only speak as we found. Tbh, I'm not sure what a Unicorn is in the context of this post, unless you mean attractive single women? If so, yes there were a few there and they were feasting on the single guys big time! We've not seen that before at a club but we're more used to the fetish scene rather than swinging scene until recently. We didn't see anything that set alarm bells ringing last night other than some very d*unk guys that we would have like to have seen chucked out although they weren't causing big trouble per se. Some friends of ours left because they didn't feel comfortable with the guys trying it on but afaia no boundaries were broken etc. We're kinda tougher in that respect and it all turned out well in the end. On a couples only night that sort of thing wouldn't happen (hopefully), so we're looking forward to those.

... the fact that it was the free entry was most likely responsible for the single guy overload and we expected that tbh. Steamers was our backup plan but in the end we stuck it out

A quota of pre-booked and registered member single guys (I.e ‘vetted) may be the way forward. We do exist but sadly get wrongly lumped in with the other idiots when single men are allowed in, or denied free access to a Saturday night club altogether. It’s frustrating.when for many Saturday is their only feasible night out.

It's good that WT had started couples only nights but from what we've been told single guys were still getting in.

We attended on Saturday night, as the reviews had been so mixed we decided to go and form our own opinion.

The music was so loud they couldn’t hear us at the door, took several attempts to get in.

Once inside we received a really friendly welcome, and a tour of the building.

Didn’t try the pool, as seen comments about it being too cold, but the two times I went past there were people in it so can only assume it was of a good temperature.

It was obviously a busy night due to allowing 100 in free.

The play areas were all clean, tidy and as expected.

As a greedy girl I love clubs that allow single guys, and my next comment does sound contradictory, but the single guys there need to have a dress code for entry, most looked like they had made no effort with their appearance, also seemed quite d*unk. Luckily I am organised and brought an extra guy for fun anyway.

At the moment if I had to choose between the two it would be Steamers, but WT do seem to have taken previous comments on board, hoping they take it onwards and upwards.

Yeah some of us were smartly dressed but many were ‘dressed to unimpress’. Good to see not just I thought it was too loud and alcohol fuelled in there too. The pool was not hot tub temp, more like a decent indoor swimming pool temp and OK enough. Noticed the radiators were on but the smokers’ door was open the whole time with the associated fumes coming in; may be winter proper will stop that? Thanks for backing up my review.

Any idea what WT is like on a Sunday?

We are visiting Torquay in a few weeks time, we are intending to go to Steamers Saturday evening and considering WT on the Sunday.
