I have a simple idea for reducing the number of wanking dead in clubs which l think could improve everyone's club experiance.

Just huddle with the single guys and give them a small pep talk hopefully explaining to them how ineffective being a wanking dead is and a better approach would be to be sociable

Keen to hear thoughts

It’s only ineffective if they aren’t getting what they want out of it lol.

If they wanna watch, wank and not play it’s perfectly effective lol.

Each to their own isn’t it, a decent host will have a good mix of people so shouldn’t really be a massive issue

I think we need to make a distinction between enjoying just watching and the wanking dead.

Every club I've been to has explained this stuff.

So I'd assume they have been told to, and are ignoring the advice.

The same way many men are told not to send unsolicited dick pics, but still do, then wonder why it's not working.

This 100%

If a door is open or it’s on an open play area is it ok just to watch at a respectful distance ? Or do you pretend nothing is happening and walk on by …

What a fabulous idea... let's create another divisive label and point fingers at somebody else's preferences.

If guys want to bang one out whilst watching then so be it, and those that don't want to see it can easily find a room or area where that option is negated anyway.

Would you also apply this to dogging meets as well ?

Totally ok

I love to watch and be watched. If I didn’t I’d play in a private room x

I think this is maybe more directed at those who follow people around wanking which most people in my experience, find creepy....

The problem with that preference is most people don't like to be followed around the club.

No one is saying no watching. In fact it's to be encouraged. In my opinion it's the following that's problematic and l have lost count how many times folks indulging in this activity have bumped into me.

I would say for dogging usual dogging etiquette should apply and doubt most folks would be comfortable being followed.

At Quest you walk round the corridor to all the playrooms in a circle. A woman can sometimes feel like the Pied Piper as she walks round, gathering more and more men following behind her.

I remember at a Fet club once there was a guy dancing to trance music and wanking for about 3 hours. It was actually quite fascinating and we had to keep popping back to watch.

A decent host would have a discreet word with people looking like they're exhibiting this kind of behaviour, and hopefully try to integrate them in conversation with others. Having been a solo guy in several clubs, I know how quick it can be, to feel excluded and ignored, when you're on your own. I can honestly say, on only one occasion did the host come and check on me

Single guys are by far the most sociable bunch , they have to be , other than a bbc , you'll rarely get a couple or single lady start a Convo with a single guy.

Its then difficult as some couples are remarkably rude even if you just say hello ..leaving guys having to balance being sociable (which takes a lot of courage and effort, to approach people and start a convo) or rather quiet

And the biggest problem with clubs are the clicks of people who stick within their little groups. As sociable as the club fraternity portrays itself, it’s amazing how unfriendly they can be when you’re a guy on his own
