How does entry work for most clubs? Do you have to go through security etc?

We've been to a newbie couples workshop but hoping to go on an actual night, preferably a couples and females night only.

Most if not all the clubs we visited over the years have been very similar.

Arrive at a reception area. Chat to a friendly person on reception. Fill in membership forms, show ID. Get the rules of the club explained. Have a tour of the club.
