Staff smoking in a North West club

I would expect them to go in the smoking area in the club, not behind the bar which is what happened when we visited.

As soon as the club manager lit up, two guys at the bar did the same.

I deleted my original comment as, although I didn't name the club, I didn't want to risk identifying the club as it's against forum rules.

I spoke to a club regular recently who told me that the club manager still smokes behind the bar which is a pity as it's an otherwise decent club.

I don't know the specifics as the post is deleted but I would expect smoking to be done outdoors, that's the law last time I checked, maybe it's different for private members clubs? But still out of courtesy - I like breathing clean air.

If a club allowed smoking indoors we would simply not attend.

I don't know what club it was but that's a shame, hopefully it's a rare thing.
