Problem with free entry for women

Went to a club / party and there were hardly any single women there but lots of men. Then it dawned on me men go cos they had paid in advance for their booking, the women paid nothing for theirs. Meaning if they decide not to go (and many did) they don’t lose out.

Wondering how to solve this so spaces are genuinely filled and there’s a nice balance of sexes for a great night

If single guys stop going the club will need to come up with something.

Single guys are the cash cows for clubs (if you charged anyone different say for the pictures they would be a prosecution for the owners as it would be seen as being discrimination for single guys)

Naturally free entrance is a carrot. But in my experience clubs with the most women tend to be the ones with the best reputation for a safe environment, warm friendly atmosphere and the quality of the males who attend. And that's where clubs should put the focus of their attention. Because I think everyone will agree a club is no good if its constantly a sausage fest.

I’d happily pay for entrance, if I loved and felt safe in a club! I don’t even mind if men and women are charged the same!

It’s rare to see more than one or two solo women in a club, whether the club charges for their entry or not. Clubs are for couples. Far easier to use Fab to find solo women for genuine fun in my experience

Completely disagree clubs are for couples.

I dont go to a club cos it’s easier for sex. 1:1 and club fun is completely different IMO.

I only go as a single women and only meet single men…. I think all should be charged the same. Nothing worse than a club full of couples cos single men won’t pay a ridiculous price! X

Most of my single women friends to to clubs so this isn't exactly correct and no wonder women get put off with comments like "clubs are for couples" ..the best clubs are where single women feel safe and are aware of the great staff who will also look out for them...as someone else said..OP must be going to clubs with not as good a reputation as others...I never fail to find other single women every visit I make to various clubs

It's all about numbers, unless we're talking about a specific theme night, there's rarely an issue with too many couples; hardly ever an issue with too many single women but can easily be an issue with too many single men.

So a higher price is used by some to attempt to limit the single men and others as a way to get extra cash.

A pity Quest didn’t allow single guys in last Saturday (or Pandora), when I was staying in Leeds for the weekend, as I would have liked to pay them my first visit. I would certainly love to see a club with more single women than single men lol, just once…..

If single women and single men were charged the same then it should be half a couple price, not more. A lot of BDSM events charge the same rate per person.

Ive not known of any clubs where anyone has to pay prior to going, everyone pays on arrival. So, like others have pointed out, maybe try a different club. Also many clubs try to balance it out so the club isn't over run with single men.

I think unless if it`s a planned greedy girls` event, a sausage fest isn`t good for anyone. And from this point, it`s simply a matter of market behavior.

There are still much more single guys who want to attend clubs than single ladies, so I think it`s everyone`s interest to filter us somehow. Those clubs that manage to filter single guys well will see more single girls walking through the door.

Offering free (or very cheap) entry to the girls can help, and I have no problem with it but as "Lingerielovesme" (btw, WOW, you are nothing less than a Goddess! ) said above, there are more important factors for girls than only the price.

By filtering guys, I mean both by number and by behavior. And you can slaughter me for saying this, but that would lead to more single girl guests if clubs were filtered us by look/body type/age too at certain parties. Saying this, as I`d not be guaranteed to fit in at all.

There is a live dating event in London, some sort of naked dating, it`s happening in a regular bar. I`d love to try it once, but for guys, the age limit is 35, which I`m 5 years older, so I can`t go. Still, I completely understand their point, that is the way how they can manage to have a 50%-50% ratio on an event which you could not imagine 10 years ago that any girl would attend...

"My thoughts exactly! Clubs are for everyone as a single female I love going to clubs. "

I think the best and far safest way to have some casual NSA fun for a girl is to attend a club. You`ll be always looked after well by the management, and if anything would turn wrong, even in a private room, one shout and you are free and safe. I hope it will never happen, but it`s not the case if you meet a stranger in a hotel room/his/yours...

And there is also no room for catfishes, or 10 years old photos. You are who you are now.

I think in a couple of years the number of smart and brave girls like you who attend clubs of their own will increase.

I wouldnt want to go anywhere near a club that would filter on looks and age and stuff i dont think. I dont agree with charging men more either even though it works in my favour for events/clubs i have gone to. Its straight up sexim and would be lambasted if the other way round.

I was also gonna say I didn't know about paying prior. First I've heard of it.

The ones I go to I have to pay entry. Granted it's less than that of a single guy but I still pay. I don't go for sex, I go for a night out and if sex happened to happen then so be it. Sometimes there's more men than women, sometimes there's more women than men, sometimes it's an even match. Even if I was the only woman there there's still no guarantee that I'd wanna bang anyone so it really doesn't make much difference how many of whatever gender attend, it's whether you're attracted to any of the people that ARE in attendance and they're attracted back.

Just like to say it's not always free for women. I go to events, so pay a charge on that particular day/night.

In fact I've always paid bar one, every time I've been

I think it`s quite normal if a swinger clubs is sexist in a certain way. At the end of the day, it`s mainly about sex, isn`t it? I am one of those who really enjoy the social part, seducing, chatting etc, I`m not into "free for all gangbangs", so I always chat, but still, if I want to socialize only, I`ll go to the pub. And if I have a sex-related chat with a girl/couple, at the end of the day that`s also about sex, not only socializing, even if nothing more happens.

So denying the importance of gender ratio on an event where people go to have sex/talk about sex... I don`t think is the right thing to do.

Charging different entry fees are one way of keeping the balance, and yes, filtering members somehow can be another. I don`t say it`s nice or fair, I can find myself on the wrong side (outside) too, but even life is not 100% fair, sadly.

Whatever clubs do, people will filter in their own right those who they want to play with. And when it comes to choosing a club, they will vote with their attendance or standoff.

They are also private businesses and members-only clubs, so I think they should be allowed to do whatever they feel the best for their members.

I very much understand the arguement for the pricing. Doesnt mean i have to like it. As i said it even benefits me as I pay the same as the women at clubs and parties i have attended anyway. ?Just find the double standards in the days of equality and equity to leave a sour taste in my mouth.

This is where my lifestlye is abit different to yours, I am quite happy to go to club to socialise as i feel safer there than say Pink Punters

If women aren't turning up, then I'd simply not go any more and only go to places that I knew were good. I don't think they flaked because they hadn't paid (even accepting the sunk cost fallacy) but because they never really wanted to. Doesn't sound like it's the greatest of places to go to...

Where is that club? I regularly visit clubs in London, and even though I go for those parties that limit the number of single guys, I have never been in one where single girls outnumbered guys...

I don`t mind if there are other single guys around as long the number of men is not higher than 120-130% of women including couples. Above that couples and girls get bored of "new applicant" in every second minute, not to mention the "wanking dead"...

I only went once in a daytime, to Cupids, and yes, it was basically empty. Otherwise I went on Friday nights as that is usually the only time solo guys are ‘allowed’ in, apart from one Saturday night at TH, when I got on the restricted single male list.

I found the party/event nights busier, but the most difficult as a solo guy to draw conversation, as people stuck in their groups.

I’m in a good place financially, but I WON’T pay the wildly disproportionate membership fees certain clubs charge for single guys; £60 ANNUAL as opposed to £5 LIFETIME for a single female or couple, as an example.

The club i go to charges single women for entry. I don’t mind paying as i’m going for the facilities and atmosphere, the sex is a bonus. Its also safe and had a good balance of attendees. I feel pricing for single men should be fairer. Maybe fairer pricing would undo the notion to some guys, that, because they’ve paid out a lot of money so are entitled to sex at clubs.

Totally disagree that clubs are for couples. Generally when I go to a club/party I go with a group of single girls and there are many more when we get there. We go to clubs because most of us don’t like to meet privately, we play at clubs only.

Totally disagree that clubs are for couples. Generally when I go to a club/party I go with a group of single girls and there are many more when we get there. We go to clubs because most of us don’t like to meet privately, we play at clubs only. "

this totally. X

We used to go to a club near Heathrow but found on a Friday as the single men paid a lot to get into the club they expected to have fun . Mrs s found it very uncomfortable environment so we just used to stick to Saturdays where it was couples and single fems . Sorry to tar single men with same brush

That is my experience too. Not the same club, but in general. Quite often men want to get their monies worth. I’ve found that clubs with a higher entrance price for men tend to out those who behave desperately. You’d think the opposite would be true, but not in my experience.

"Naturally free entrance is a carrot.

I don’t even mind if men and women are charged the same!"

Sorry to read you don’t feel safe in clubs, can I ask which ones you’ve attended? my personal view of that they are safer than any other form of meeting people. Plus if you don’t like the person or have they connection, it’s easier to walkway without feeling awkward.

Understand you may also not like them though. Clubs aren’t for everyone.

North West

Go to events with guest lists.

Before covid this is all I did so I could see in advance who was going and if it was a good mix.

I’m at the point as a single girl where I’m struggling to find events I want to attend because it’s all single women and couples.

Every guest list event I’ve been too has always had lots of single women- north west clubs x

It's high time we had a singles only swingers club. Couples have been pandered to for far too long.

Time we singles got what we are willing to pay for! If we don't speak up then it won't happen!

Well the idea sounds great, even just for occasional parties! But I think the question is the same again: will be enough single girls attend that party? You can find as many single men as you want, I`m sure!

Maybe you should talk to the managers of the club you usually attend, they might be open to an idea if you want to host a party like that. For me, it sounds great!

Or just hire a private venue, and organize a invitation only party via this site I`m sure that would work too!

Leeds

Pretty much all nights i've been to at various clubs have had a decent mix

This said, I think there is a market for singles night, it would be good to see one on somewhere
