We're just wondering if Cham's darlaston has had a refurb as was the rumour last year, and also what facilities do you get when using the on site 'hotel rooms'? Thank you

There have been some changes. Some new playrooms, new carpeting throughout, car parking is no longer charged for. Other than Tammy having left staff are the same. Think (but not sure) there may be more hotel rooms

Prior to covid the hotel rooms had what any other hotel room has, tea/coffee, shower, TV and a sausage or bacon roll in the morning.

Extra staircase and viewing area above rooms I've read on here. As wife no longer plays in the scene i doubt I'll get to see it but sounds like some good improvements.

Stoke

We went on Friday, but that was our first time there - so couldn't say what was new and what wasn't.

Will definitely be going back.

2 new playrooms by the fish tank room. They have large beds in them and a window above the beds. Others can look into the rooms from above and that is accessed via a new staircase at the side of the toilet near the bar.

As someone else has said, new carpets and furniture re covered.

Everything else looked the same to me. The atmosphere was as good as ever and the people as friendly and welcoming as before.

The new rooms don’t affect what was there previously. They are an addition. Everything else in that space is exactly as it was. Think the new bit is where they’ve made use of the stairs that went to some rooms….. I’m probably not describing it very well but the seating area and room that was there before is still there.

The rooms are nice - clean and with everything you'd need in them. And one great advantage of them is that you can take the occasional half hour to lie down when it all gets a bit too much...

Looking forward hugely to getting back there to meet with old friends and make some new ones.

The only bit of seating that has gone was the very small two person section next to the room with the chain curtain. That is now an archway leading to the two new rooms that also have the same type of chain curtains.

They're great. Better than travelodge.

KIDLINGTON

I stayed in a room last night. Clean tidy with and en suite. Good price and breakfast included. Added benefit of no hassle getting a taxi etc afterwards.

Would definitely recommend
