SOUTHAMPTON

Just booked on to our first club night at liberation Portsmouth. Anyone else going?

Brand new to the clubs, so no idea what to expect, but we are looking forward to it none the less.

Any advice for complete newbies?

Never been before, and when looking it came up as our closest.

We are in the new forest so there is one in Bournemouth I believe.

I used to go pre Covid and hope to go again soon (maybe Saturday!). I think it depends both on your expectations and the mix of people. I think I've been 5 times over a number of years and sometimes it can take a particular few people or couples to set it off. I quite like chatting to like minded people but sometimes people can be non talkative or go off in prearranged rooms. That could be the same any venue though. I think with loads of venues shutting, we're lucky to have it really.

If you go with an open mind and talk to people I think you'll have a far better time than waiting on the outside.
