I'm interested in going to a club for the first time and would to hear your experiences

How did you feel before you went to a club for the first time, were you nervous and how did it compare to what you originally thought it would be like?

I (Mr) started on the scene as a single guy. I looked at clubs for a while but I think it's a daunting prospect for any single guy. Especially if your a little socially awkward like me. My decision to go happened on a Saturday morning. With a bit of encouragement from the Fab forum I just thought F*ck it. Phoned the club, booked a hotel room and jumped on the train a hour later. As nervous as I was I had nothing to lose and everything to gain. It was pretty much what I expected (the forums give a good insight). Hardest thing is getting through the door. Let them know it's your first time. They'll show you round, help with any questions and may introduce you to some people too. Then all you need to do after that is be yourself and have a nice time however the night pans out. After my first visit there was no stopping me.

Anything new can be awkward I visited as a single but as long as you are polite, dont follow people around or play with yourself then its fine. Dont go with any expectations or agree to anything you dont feel comfortable with you'll do fine.

My first night was newbies night at Townhouse. It was completely the opposite to what I imagined, as soon as I arrived I was given a guided tour and was made to feel very welcome. My nerves completely disappeared and the night went by really quickly, I was hooked

Depends what club you go to. Some are dress down so a towel (provided) or boxers, others are dressed up so like you're going out for the night but some places have no trainer policy. If you look on the club website they should provide the information, failing that call the place.

I was cacking myself. I went to an arranged social/party at one so had spoken to several people prior to it. It was arranged among people in the chat rooms. I was probably nervous for at least an hour before my nerves eased. You go in, pay, get a tour and then mingle or try to. Many clubs have areas where people socialise so find those and you're bound to find someone to chat to. Most people talk to anyone in general conversation, like being at a bar really. Just because it's a swingers club you can talk to whatever sex but doesn't mean you're attracted to them.

I always say clubs are like nightclubs only if you pull you don't have to leave to have some fun
