Gatwick area

We keep getting asked on our opinions of clubs in the UK by newbies to the scene.

Our standard response is we've only visited a few and can only respond on them and then ask what people are looking for. So, to give a less biased review could you guys give us your reviews and I'll collate a list.

Send to us via PM please.

Rate features from 1 to 5 (5 being best and 3 being average)

Include:

The club name.

1. Wet play facilities (hot tub, pool, sauna, steam room etc)

2. Dungeon/BDSM facilities

3. Private lockable spaces

4. Open play spaces

5. Outdoor space

6. Dance club vibe

7. Staff

8. Overall personal experience

Anything we've missed?

H&B xx

You’re legit asking people for essays on clubs for people that ask you for your opinions on clubs?

It’s all relative. Everyone’s gonna have their own subjective viewpoint. As above have said any one can visit club reviews on that.

There’s no need to be rude to people that have bought this to your attention and don’t want to take god knows how long out of their day to satisfy the knowledge of those in your inbox.

It's not about being arsed. There's whole wealth of information for everyone to access (now it's been unlocked again) giving a fairly balanced overview of most, if not all the clubs in the UK.

Why reinvent the wheel?

We were just trying to get a consensus on peoples views on any clubs facilities as all have their strengths and weaknesses. Just to make a quick star rating of best clubs for what with no preference shown from us. That rather than having to trawl through the many club reviews.

Sorry if the response was rude but positivity seems lacking on fab at the moment and it's easier to be a negative nancy about things is the general feel.

If any one asks me about clubs, I send them the link to the club review page on here.

That way they have many different views on each club that they may be interested in, and from many different profile types (m,f,mf etc)

I think this a pretty good idea that should probably be applied to each club profile in the reviews section. Some of the club websites are horrible (esp on a phone) and a brief overview of facilities, night club or sauna style etc would be quite helpful. Personally, I'd remove the 1-5 star option or certainly make it anonymous - the reviews section has at times been quite vitriolic.

I disagree with making it anonymous, making people accountable for their comments means you get a truthful review rather than people slagging off a rival club or boasting about their favourite over and over.

I think most people in this lifestyle aren't afraid to say what they think and stand by it, and clubs should welcome nagative comments so they can take it on board.

I think your essay structure would be good for people who are reviewing clubs in future to use, I wonder if fab could introduce a little structure for people so they can provide more good quality information

Whilst I agree that it would stop Tripadvisor/Amazon style spam reviews, I think keeping it anonymous from other users would keep it more honest. I've had grief in the past from club regulars for daring to criticise a place (it was dirty and seedy and thankfully now gone) and now don't review clubs. Maybe limit it to one per user or per IP address, there's got to be a decent middle ground. I do think a more informative club page at a base level would be really helpful though.

All that would happen asking on here is you'll get everyone pushing their favourite club.

As someone who has been involved in clubs a lot of years, I can assure you that's completely subjective as one will love a club for its dungeon, another the wet area, another for certain party nights or the atmosphere etc

Club reviews however are a very mixed bag of anyone and everyone - both good n bad (assuming you can be arsed to read them)

Club reviews also seem to become some people's personal blogs. Amazing how often you get that "Another great night at XYZ" type of review...and you look back and a week or two earlier the same person/people put virtually the same review up there. Strange that.

But do you not see the same would happen on here? Everyone would just say the same as in the reviews!

You just need to look at them realistically. It's the same as the clubs who get their staff regularly putting reviews on
