You would like to go to swingers club? Great! So would we, when they reopen.

Not sure what kind of answer you are looking for, but we are going to play devil's advocate here.

What are you expecting from a swingers club? You say you are registered blind, which obviously means your eyesight is rather poor. You need to remember that, most of the time, swingers clubs are very dimly lit, or have loads of artificial lighting/disco/neon lighting. How is that going to affect your ability to get around? Would you need someone with you all the time, like a chaperone or a personal assistant? If yes, we'd advise you contact the club you are thinking of visiting, once they open, and let them know you are thinking of coming and advise them about your sensory impairment. They might be able to assist you once in the club, but we wouldn't expect them to be able to stay with you all the time, if that's what you need.

We think that getting to the club is just one obstacle, and it can be solved much more easily than the actual being in the club safely.

Please don't get us wrong, we are not trying to discourage you from wanting to visit a swingers club. Quite the opposite, but unfortunately, when someone has even a slight disability, they have to face many obstacles while trying to live their life as normal and as much as to the full as possible.

Take the leap, go to the club of your choice arrive early a member of the staff will show you around and you can get acquainted with the layout before it gets crowded

What are your expectations from this post then? You were offered a solution to your problem, regarding getting to a swingers club. Unless you're expecting someone to offer you a lift? If yes, I wouldn't hold my breath.

What about public transport one way, taxi back? Or maybe check if there are any swingers clubs nearer to you?

Also, take into account that swingers clubs are not cheap, especially for single men. Some clubs charge membership fee, which is usually paid on the first visit. That is on top of the entrance fee, plus any drinks or food you may have once inside.

ClubF has hotel rooms for staying over, which might be cheaper than a taxi home. There's also a hotel just over the road which I know nothing more about.

Transport-wise, if no one offers a lift (a lot of people will be wary of taking a single man that they don't know) there's a bus stop just down the road. You'd have to change at Durham by the look of it. Bus or train to Durham and taxi the rest of the way is also an option.

The bar, play rooms, and dungeon are fairly dark, but the cafe and smoking areas are well lit. The smoking area is a good place for socialising, even if you don't smoke.

Entry and membership fees for single men are reasonable. It's been long enough that I don't remember the amounts.

You have posted this almost identical post last year, and the year before.

The advice given both times still stands.

Lots of people, partially sighted or otherwise face the same problems when visiting a club if they can't drive.

You either decide to pay for a taxi, or get a lift. Nobody on here can help with either of those at a point when clubs aren't even open.

OP I think it’s brilliant you want to go to a club and you are only asking for help to get to one. If I (male) lived in your area I would accompany you to a club but I don’t live in your area.

My advice mate is to ring the club and explain to the staff your predicament. They will show you round so you get a real feel for the place.

I think more people with impairments should attend clubs, these are real people in life and why can’t they enjoy the experience too?

You go for it mate when clubs re-open.....

Too be fair i fall down in clubf every-time i go.. the stairs are steep and all playrooms are either upstairs or downstairs! Where as i know the staff would help you as much as possible but they wouldn’t be able to be with you every second!

Also as its a private member’s club I doubt anyone would risk there membership taking anyone they don’t know in as it will look bad on them if the new person acts inappropriately (not saying you would).

Quest in Leeds may be a good club for you OP. It’s all on one level and not too big. It’s not far from Leeds centre so you could book a hotel and stay over. Just a thought.

We agree with you totally.

We wouldn’t do it to be honest.

Have you not considered public transport and stop in a hotel Derek? Wasn't that suggested to you last time you posted something like this?

We have partially sighted friends who use public transport daily with no problems.
