I think its far too early to determine what would be appropriate in the future

We dont know how the vaccine thing's gonna pan out yet

As NHS workers our first thoughts are yes....however clubs must be literally on their knees at this stage, with no close end in sight. And looking at the tiered approach to the vaccine role out, there are potentally alot of club users very low down on the list.

I don’t envy club owners at this time...but I guess the main thing is we continue to support them to allow us to enjoy that part of our lifestyles.

In an ideal world then it would be a great idea

Sadly many swingers dont fall into the vaccination category they are either too young or not key workers

So until vaccinations become available to the less vulnerable or people can get them done by paying for it can't see it working

But agree any environment where close contact is happening eg clubs pubs concerts planes then it would be a great solution

Once the vulnerable / priority groups are vaccinated then I'd expect the number of deaths due to CV_19 to drop to very low levels.

Once CV_19 deaths are below the deaths due to "normal" diseases then why have any restrictions on people meeting ?

Your not asked for certificates to prove your free of STDs when you go to clubs are you ?

Definitely, it will get to that for getting onto flights. Wait, there are requirements like this when travelling from countries with high prevalence of TB and yellow fever. I don't see any reason why it won't get to that for rona. For me, anything that get us back to near normal life. Bring it on! I miss flying. I miss xmas with be best friend and his family in the state. My mother passed away in August but could not go to say goodbye. Anything that brings life back to the closest it can get to normal, I am up for it.

The clubs are really suffering at the moment, when they are allowed to reopen to only let vaccinated people in could really cut the

possible attendeess down, as it might be possibly only people who are vulnerable and/or over 50 for the foreseeable future.

Also of course it is a venues prerogative, but it seems harsh on the people who may possibly not be medically able to be vaccinated for whatever reasons.

Im not certain, but i think vaccination against tb and yellow fever stop people spreading them, whereas covid vaccinated people can still catch and spread it.

The only safe people are those that test negative after isolation. (this is my understanding of it).

Someone on here can probably tell us the facts.

We need to see how effective the vaccine is when a majority of the population have received it.

But I would encourage those who can do, to volunteer to help in the vaccine delivery program. The more people we have the quicker we can get it delivered. There are lots roles; including admin so no First Aid experience is required

They just need to get the price down on the tests now.

We've been saying for ages that rapid testing is the way forward.

Tests at work prior to your shift starting,on street testing in City centers,testing pupils before entering school.....

Rapid tests are around 65% effective at detection if a person is in the early stages of Covid. I’d not take that risk.

Surely the clubs are no worse than a nightclub or gym in the risk of infection criteria, lots of ppl in a close environment. Yes there is sex at clubs but that’s not a publicised route of transmission. So on those assumptions whatever rules or tests suit gym and or night clubs to reopen it would be perfectly reasonable to use the same criteria.

Personally, vaccination card will be widely used within spot fast tests. There will be no bug free environment merely minimised risk in the same way as many other viruses etc.

Pragmatic and once established routines, then costs will be merely part of a clubs entrance fee. As regards the comment on STD well responsible swingers get regular tests in a similar way, admittedly they are post event not per entry, but the clubs keep records to advise those as required.

Lots of advancement all of the time with this.

The Lucira COVID-19 All-In-One Test Kit is 94.1-98% accurate with results in 30 minutes.

The Abbott rapid antigen test reports a 97.1% accuracy.

Rapid testing together with a strong vaccine programme would no doubt be a better route to normality than what we have at the minute.

Pretty much the perfect answer. Covid isn't going anywhere and we'll likely need booster jabs year on year. Once the first round of vaccines have taken place for the likely vulnerable then game on for me. If the loss of life due to covid isn't too bad once the vulnerable are immunised then it should be left to the rest to make up their mind when they rejoin society. Im likely just to be ill and not have to go in to hospital if I get it. Im willing to take that risk once the hospitals are back to a normal death type rate

Do any clubs prevent anyone with a positive HIV test from attending? Does anyone have to have a negative STD test to be able to attend? Does anyone showing cold or flu symptoms get asked to leave a club? I suspect that Covid will be treated the same in the end as most other diseases that we are exposed to. I dare say that someone will remind us that just like with the (non-) wearing of condoms, we are all adults capable of weighing up the risks and making our own decisions.
