Seen a post on a certain video website (is that okay to say Forum mods?!) that shows a lot of flooding at the VA.... Hope management can let us know how bad as that would be the sodding cherry on the cake of a crappy year if VA is out of action!

Yes condolences to everyone whose home or business is flooded. A horrible end to a dreadful year.

And they had just done the outside amazingly...hopefully it will not have done too much damage .. and insurance covers it.

Club is fine, Lux grounds are flooded as is the outside bar.

However the owner has lost her home (which is onsite in the grounds) the flood waters are about 12inches high throughout the downstairs of her cottage.

Insurance does not cover “acts of god”

"

Most insurance policies include cover for flood damage unless it is due to poor maintenance by the owner

Or unless they are in a known flood zone like us We've only just been able to get contents insurance over the last few years as we're in a flood zone, they just don't cover for floods

Not in this case, it’s known for flooding but not this bad its the worst it’s been.

You should come and visit VA when they're open again. I am sure you'll fit right in and love it. It's such a friendly vibe. x

Being stuck in tier 4, there’s probably little that I or many others could do from a practical standpoint. The only thing we can do is spend money with the club just as soon as they can get something, anything up and running.

Oh God that’s an awful way to spend Christmas and end 2020. Really hope she managed to get stuff upstairs / off the floor before the worst happened. It takes a long time to put right and replace damaged items, even more if contents cover was unavailable or prohibitively expensive.

Sending love to her and everyone else affected by floods, pandemic and this shitty year.

Fingers crossed Lux and the bar are back up and running as soon as they can be.

MHG xx

It's very upsetting after all the work they've done both inside and outside building Lux Lounge. 2020 has been such a hard year for our lifestyle venues.

I hope that it dries out as good as possible and next year is a much better year for them.

Oh gosh, no way! This is such sad news and an absolute travesty, we simply cannot afford to lose the VA, it is one of the best places around and distractions like that are just the thing that wear people right down to the ground. 2020 just had to throw that in there didn't it. Sending positive vibes the clean up happens without further drama.

I know other clubs have sadly fallen by the wayside, and sooo pleased that so far VA is still able to ride the storm. It’s a great place and have had some lively times there, and met some amazing gorgeous people xxx

Let’s hope your can hang in there Pink, I for one will be back as soon as we all can xxx ..... the darkest hour is always before the dawn!!

Take care xx
