"I was not in a rush to go, I left because of your attitude, apathy and indifference to the questions I was asking on such a sensitive matter. I wasn’t asking for any help to get the wheelchair in, but I wasn’t even offered the chance to actually try the chair through the door myself or at the very least measure the doorway. I think a 5 second scan of a CCTV screen of a wheelchair couldn’t possible give you the actual dimensions that you would require to make that decision. Perhaps to even have come and spoken to my wife would have shown that you had an interest and understanding of the situation So when I first contacted you online and asked if you could accommodate a wheelchair you messaged back “No” Why would you do that if in fact you now state in your message to this post that you have “Had people in wheelchairs before and managed fine and enjoyed their time here”? What Surely you could have asked more questions before you gave the straight “No” Noone made a suggestion of coming back on Wednesday despite me attempting to be in conversation with your for a quite a few minutes. I suggest this was an afterthought on your part. " My man came ready.

"Is it legal to sue a private club in the UK , for not having handicap accessibility? " Although there is no legal requirement for a private members club to offer accessibility for all, most clubs will try and adapt as best as possible or at least allow the individual to assess the accessibility for themselves. So no, private members clubs cannot be sued in the UK xx

Yup, private members clubs are not bound by the Equalities Act for patrons (they are as employers of staff). It's why those gents clubs in London and golf clubs can exclude women
