in response to mel and dan review of there visit to the attic, i have to agree this behaviour is awfull, even after my calm and friendly review i recieved numerious messages of abuse with regards to my review.

make a stand and dont let certain peeps dictate how we as genuine swingers review, its all in the interest of others not a personal attack and as said before its our right of opinion and if we want to say good or bad then we shall.

guess i will now get a million abusive messages. i will report these and hopefuly this will be the end. I wont be back to the attic i have found a better place to go Chams its clean tidy and very friendly.

Oooer, I must admit, I have been watching the reviews on this one as it is very local to me,

The same people review over and over, which is a shame as it screams of locals bigging up the club and the same old faces.

As for abuse, tell them to grow up :O

Yay for finding chams though

Never had a bad night at chams

The Attic is a good place guys, although I do know what you're getting at.

Hopefully when the extension is up and running some new blood will make their there.

I've had some cracking nights there and I know I will in the future too. X

This is where the club review system fails. You have every right to post a good or bad review based on your experience at any club, although hopefully such a review is objective.

For example if the club is unclean in your opinion, or somethings not working when you visit and you weren't aware of that prior to your visit, then you should post it. Cupids in Manchester and Xtasia in West Brom have both made people pretty well aware via the forums or on their websites that the clubs are being refurbed and some things aren't available at certain times.

If however, your experience is a guy coming on to you, and he stopped after you said no, or if a guy wanted sex bareback and you/couple/female refused, then to me thats not a reason to give a club a bad review, unless ofcourse that person caused you a big problem that you reported to staff and nothing was done to resolve the issue.

Grey areas would be comments about decoration, or facilities or too many singles in the club, as one couple may think the amount of singles is fine and another couple too many while a third may think not enough. Theres a large thread for example on Adam & Eves where some people clearly don't like the place and others do, some citing too few facilities though the club does actually have all the facilities it advertises, and they all work (most of the time) so it would be wrong to fault the club in a review for not having perhaps a dance floor when it doesn't suggest it has one.

I have left a few club reviews, and I'd never expect to get a bad message back from anyone, although I'd welcome a message back from the club management/owners wanting clarification of my issue so that they had the oppotunity to address it, that to me would be good practice because they'd be trying to do something to make the place more appealing to me, and this is aptly demonstarted by the new owners of Xtasia whom have taken on board what people have said, eg can wine and beer be served in glass glasses rather than plastic or bottle, the answer being yes to it being in a plastic glass, the reason for plastic so that if it's dropped people won't get hurt by broken glass.

I also hate it when there are multiple reviews from the same person/couple for one club. I know Fab admin have done something on this, but personally I would only allow 1 review per person per quarter about a club as that is more than adequate to give an accurate informative picture of the place.

Sorry for the long post, I hope you keep adding honest reviews of any club you visit as I often read them especially before deciding to go to a new club.

I've read the review in Question and have to agree with some of the comment being made, but only doing so in the hope that someone at the club will listen. The review page is just that. why ppl can't leave a review on the club without getting abusive message bk is just out of order. So to the management. of the Attic listen to what ppl have to say its in your interest if you wish to make this club be one of the best around.

Ilkeston

We found that when we left our review that we got a HUGE amount of quite nasty abuse from the regulars. We didn't feel that our review was nasty, indeed its quite polite, but truthful.

We got loads of messages telling us that our review wasn't true and was nasty, and wrong and that we should only leave nice ones!

The review system is often abused by the same people leaving regular reviews, and by the site owners leaving them too.

Can people not be restricted with to One review per profile?

The give away is that people only leave One bad review, but people leaving good ones leave them over and over again, and it gives a false impression.

We've been saying for ages ppl should be restricted on how many reviews they can put for the same club. There are clubs on the review page which have the same cpls reviewing them every Friday and Saturday nite.No one needs to review a club more than once unless something has changed and they've had a better or worse time than the last.
