" Hard times for all business owners on Merseyside right now x" Agreed. How do the government think staff can manage for a month or longer on two thirds of their wage ?

" Hard times for all business owners on Merseyside right now x Agreed. How do the government think staff can manage for a month or longer on two thirds of their wage ?" The crucial thing here is most bar staff across the region will be on the minimum wage £8.72 per hour. Reduce that by a 1/3rd and it's £5.84 per hour. Who on earth can live on that? The business support isn't clear and it won't be enough to top up wages, so the workers and businesses are not being protected as Rishi keeps saying! Gyms in the area are rebelling and are not closing. There is a movement starting called Empowered Fit and they argue that the rate of infection through is tiny but the lack of gym facilities will affect mental and physical health which is a bigger risk. As one combined movement, they are standing against the decision

"It’s going to be fun being a single man in a club this weekend.... So if you happen to see someone you know in a pub, club etc are you allowed to say hello ? " Nope xx Hence why we're only operating online parties or sex education/art workshops physically. Tier two regulations means a bar would be a very lonely place! Our area will be reviewed in four weeks time. We've further information on our own website.

"It’s going to be fun being a single man in a club this weekend.... So if you happen to see someone you know in a pub, club etc are you allowed to say hello ? " No. Even if your best friend is at another table, under the rules you cannot mix with them, converse with them or anything. It’s intended so that 2 different households can’t book 2 tables in a pub & effectively ‘meet’ by circumvent the rules. So if you happen to know someone at another table, you’re still required to stick to your own table. And if you don’t, it’s the pub that’s at risk for breaking the rules, not just you Basically makes socials in clubs impossible

"We're on the naughty step on Merseyside and we are now completely closed until further notice. We were doing hires for photo and film shoots as well as the odd horny couple, but we can't even do these now. Hard times for all business owners on Merseyside right now x" I'm very sorry to read that.

We understand completely why we are closed but longer term the present situation is not sustainable for anyone. All these restrictions are doing is buying time for our amazing NHS so they are not overwhelmed. If anyone still believes these lock downs will stop the virus they are very mistaken! they Just control it to manage numbers infected. The moment you mix people again in any setting like shcools, colleges & universities where over 50% of covid19 cases occur the virus starts spreading again. Amazes me nobody noticed the explosion of new case started to happen two weeks after they all returned to full-time education. So in saying that without a one Jab Vaccine, herd immunity or the virus burning out or mutating to a weaker strain we are all going to have to learn to live with it and implement things so life can continue and unpopular as it sounds take personal responsibility for ourselves & others around us. We simply can't lock everyone up like this for the foreseeable it makes no sense. I understand this is all being done not to overwhelme the NHS but the long term damage at some point I believe will outweigh the short term, and now what we see with shcools being open again because long term it would damage our kids education. The way the government has managed this pandemic will and is resulting in extra deaths now & longer term from cancer, heart disease, suicide and the list goes on & on. Not to talk about the economic damage longer term and people dying from poverty, losing Jobs, Homes & business and social family break down & lot higher taxes, cuts to services and peoples mental health damaged. What's annoying me is after conversations with official authorities is the utter contempt for Club's & the night time industry. We have been told to lend our way through the pandemic that we dont know will end, with no one willing to lend to us even the government or shut and retrain to do Jobs from home! Thats the reality for clubs I am afraid and will be for a lot more businesses unless the present situation & governments approach does not change!
