For the clubs that have currently worked with their local councils and have managed to open as socially distance venues, will the new rules affect you?

I've only visited one venue since they were allowed to reopen, and they have done everything in their power to assure people socially distance in their premises.

In my personal view, as long as people are sensible and stick to their groups of 6, it would be possible for them to remain open without any changes, it will be down to the customers to behave appropriately and not risk the clubs license

I wondered if clubs feel they can continue to open as I know a few places are currently trying to keep the community alive by providing a safe venue for socially distanced drinks.

I think the new rules will actually make it easier for socialising in clubs as now the six don't need to be from just two households.

When I go to a pub it's easier to stay in our social bubble up to 6,however I don't see us just waving to someone we know and not speaking

Swingers and naturist have a more sociable side to them,I've been following the rules no sex with others at/after club visit,however I'm a natter box like most of us,we are very sociable,and can chat using social distancing as i did last weekend at a club

When I go to a club whether on my own or in my fb bubble,we don't stick to just talking amongst ourselves,if in a hottub,sauna,pool or sitting having a drink,I always natter to anyone

I'm definitely not the only one,including you op your very sociable

if I bumped into you again we would bound have to natter

I don't think we are capable of being unsocialable at clubs,so I'm not going to lie and pretend to be a miserable sod as that just isn't me

aslong as I don't chat in bigger groups than six and keep my distance,I can't see myself being arrested for chatting to different people eg if they are 4 of us in the hottub at 4 corners of it

Hey GB. How does that work as a solo woman though? Can we join a social group as long As it all adds up to no more than 6. And can I wander off from one group of 5 or less to be social with another group of 5 or less????

This is from the gov.uk guidance, if you google rule of 6 gov uk it will all come up.

3. Rules in other venues and activities

Venues following COVID-19 secure guidelines will be able to continue to host more people in total - such as religious services in places of worship - but no one should visit in a group of greater than 6. When you visit one of these places, such as a pub, shop, leisure venue, restaurant or place of worship you should:

follow the limits on the number of other people you should meet with as a group - no more than six people unless you all live together (or are in the same support bubble)

avoid social interaction with anyone outside the group you are with, even if you see other people you know

provide your contact details to the organiser so that you can be contacted if needed by the NHS Test and Trace programme

see this is what i was trying to work out... because in reality you are just going to be tying yourself to one group of 6 people all night.....

i love socialising but i think that's too restrictive even for me (i'd like to think i know way more people than that!!! lol)

If you look at it this way, it was always the case that we had to socially distance at 2 meters or 1 meter where that’s not possible for example a corridor.

Tables were always to be 2 meters from others in groups of up to 6 but only from 2 households and one way queue systems were to be in place.

However this was “guidelines”

The difference now being that it is law and carries heavy fines if people and venues are found to be flouting. And groups of up to six can it would seem be from any household.

The key here will be ensuring that each group does not swap and change its members of that group as and when they feel like it. If you arrive as a 4 you stay as a 4

You see when I go out, especially in clubs, I float around speaking to different people. Being restricted would be hard for me, but not impossible. If it's law and for the greater good, then it wouldn't stop me going out

Absolutely, I’m a social butterfly too...I have noticed that local pubs seem to go along with the 1 meter where needed rule to be honest but that may change now it’s law and not suggested

And does the 15 min rule still apply? You can be in an area with someone up to 15min?

And what about the advice direct from the PM about doggy style sex

is that still a thing lol

the problem is that "this" kind of attitude may be the one that gets clubs into trouble...... and is going to put clubs in an awkward position

it may not be a rule you like... but if everyone takes the attitude you do, they wont be open for long....

its not a rule i like don't get me wrong...

No you can't play with 6 people in a club. You have to stay 2m away from people not in your household (or 1m if you are wearing masks)

Fabio it's not an attitude that would get clubs into trouble,I had already mentioned my thoughts in my first post near top of this thread

As I go as a single sometimes,always been comfortable to chat to people social distancing since we have been back to clubs,all clubs are open for socials only I respect those rules.

Am I supposed to be ignored/ignore people because I'm not in a group of up to 6?

The club I go is a spa I go to use facilities yes,I like my own space yes but I also enjoy chatting to people

It's a single person's dilemma
