there you go... here is your thread to have a moan about it... have at it in here... and again.. maybe club owners can talk about why they charge what they do to give people a reflection of what is happening...

Have always wondered about that aswell they take up half the room of a couple and when we did go to a party a few people arriving as a couple split up as soon as they got in the door and only went together to get a cheap deal xx

Single guys are charged more as they far outnumber single women and couples in clubs. A lot of the more respectable clubs limit the amount of single guys, even though this potentially decreases their profits. A lot of single guys aren't swingers in the true sense of the meaning, they are just after a shag, and at a club for around £30 quid, they have the opportunity of sex more than once for several hours, rather than paying a prostitute the same amount for a limited time.

Let's put the obligatory disclaimer to avoid the usual backlash from people wanting to argue the point just for the sake of it.

This is our opinion, it is not meant or implied to include every single male on here or in general.

maybe these excessive charges on single men are against european law as it could be classed as discrimination.

if it was gays or a race issue im sure it would have been highlighted in a court by now.

but as ive posted in another thread i dont go due to the exploitation.

maybe my loss but i dont change my views.

this is also true.

i know a single female who got verbally abused outside a club because she asked a single guy outside if he would like to get in cheaper by them both entering as a couple.

the problem is that a lot of people quote the equality act 2010 without knowing whats actually in it....

the problem that anyone will find challenging the act is that it does allow for "positive action" if you can prove that by not doing it would affect numbers of people going...

so all a club would have to do for a couple of weeks is charge couples and singles females the same as they would do single men.... and watch the figures for people coming thru the doors drop like a stone.....

or... they could just go couples only... and the arguement that single men make vanishes and you shoot yourself in the foot.....

I don't profess that is it fair to do what they do.... but it is legal...

so maybe there is a way for clubs to comprise rather than single blokes being confrontational....

Ivery much doubt that it's ever been legally tested - who would have thought a few years ago that insurance companies would have to change how they they view premiums for different genders . In that case the courts basically said sorry but no excuse is good enough

It's economics and pricing. A supply and demand issue. Single females are low in supply and high in demand once in the club - so the clubs want to entice them in and so prices are low. Single guys are much higher in supply and therefore the clubs can get away with making it a higher price and even limiting numbers of them through the doors.

club entry is what 30 quid for a male.for that they can arrive at 11am and stay till 1am the next morning,they can take their own booze,have a sauna,jacuzzi,steam ,relax at the bar,socialise,meet new people ,watch live sex and maybe partake themselves....its a good deal I think

I have to say that I've been to one club where the pricing was equal for everyone - it resulted in an influx of young single males after the pub shut and did not make for an enjoyable occasion

It doesnt. Ive been to clubs where you still get single men being annoying regardless of the price. It just means respectful guys who have been before and who know how to behave, but maybe cant afford the £40 are replaced by single guys who dont know how to behave but who have got the spare money.

As the post above says.....single males are plentiful and if supply exceeds demand then the admission price will be increased to reduce the opportunity of numpties getting in........

Whether this is effective or not is debatable......

Again this debate is linked to peoples opinions about single males etc etc

We don't have a requirement for a single male so not fussed either way......but from our experiences the higher the price the more sensible/respectful the single male has been....

We've never been to a club. But is it possible that rather than the price being high for single males, it's just lower for women and couples?

The end result is the same, but potentially more legally and morally justifiable.

It's not only clubs that have that sort of policy.

was told the other day £100joining fee £75 admin and £25 per visit is that fair on single bloke might get in and find you dont like it so on the other link i do thinkyou should at least visit to see if its your bag or not before paying that

as the staff said cheeper to have a wank lol that put smile on my face heheheheheh

Bad Behavour is just that. Some people male or female don't no how to behave or treat others with respect and dignety.

Like children they have to be taught what they didnt learn as a child when they should have.

If they are too many single males at an event then limit the numbers after all its "a private club" ! isnt it?

But under the discrimination act 2010 what these clubs are doing with single fem's like £10 or free and charging single guys £50+ is TOTALLY illegal. FACT.

You basically seem to be saying that guys are paying to have sex. That opens up a whole different can of worms.

Taken from the Home Office Website re the Equality Act 2010:

"Positive discrimination means favouring someone solely because he or she has a particular protected characteristic - for example, their gender or their race. Positive discrimination is generally unlawful in the UK and there are currently no plans to change that position. However, positive action is legal and entirely voluntary, and can be taken to overcome disadvantage, meet a need or encourage participation in a certain activity. "

I think that single fems being free/ much cheaper could be argued as being positive action to get them to attend the club (ie: 'encourage participation')

Reading this there is a lot people have to say and as a single male I have often felt like going to a club would be a nice thing to experience, but then I'm often put off at joining fee's and prices. Surely the main objective is to have the right people having fun, so putting limits on things limits their rights to have fun. Where all individuals but not always treated like we are which is a shame.

I feel the same about this site as well sometimes, how can one person define of state the meaning of swinging putting all the mistrust an blame on one party its discrimination no matter how ever you look at it. There should be freedom for all to enjoy as long as main guide lines and rules ain't broke I.e respecting others an how you treat them.

It could be argued but lets say pricing becomes fairer then the only thing I can see clubs doing is hiking prices for couples and females to the same price as men. Then no one would want to go as the number of females in the club would drop unless the club hired their own girls.

Maybe for you, but for others sex is probably the main driver and paying a premium is based on an 'expectation' of sex.

Respectful guys know that you don't go to clubs expecting to have any physical pleasure. As another poster said, anything sexual is a bonus. But having said that, on the basis of economics, single guys will not go to the "expensive" clubs if they believe the experience is not worth it. Expensive clubs should have good, clean and well-maintained facilities, and he should be make to feel welcome. If they aren't and he isn't, the guy will feel he is being ripped off. Since he will hope to meet ladies and/or couples, he will hope there will be a reasonable number with whom he can socialise and develop a rapport. If he pays his money and the place is dead without being advised of the fact, he will again feel he's being ripped off. Respectful guys will like the management to manage numbers too because they will not want too many guys to ruin the atmosphere of selectivity.

The problems come with disrespectful guys who do not understand that they need to be invited to play. If they have handed over a lot of money and they are expecting sex, they will be a pain for all in the club, pestering, hounding and more.

Personally, I would prefer clubs to treat single guys responsibly, screening them for validations and understanding of the rules, limiting numbers on couples night, sending out invites to known men on greedy girl nights for the expected number of ladies and suggesting they don't go on quiet nights.

I wonder if it's so that: a) they can be sure of the calibre of single chaps that go ... if they're not willing to shell out then they're probably not gonna be the kind we want. also b) It would be uncool to have too many guys in so a higher entrance fee means fewer single guys and a more balanced group.

However, I do sympathise with the single guy cos it's a tough world here with a lot of obstacles to overcome, likewise it's not cool to use a lady just to get in.
