LB shut:-(

They’ve shut LB because they were only allowing 25% of capacity and a large percentage of those idiots didn’t show up. Which means they didn’t buy drinks either.

It's not really that surprising. A sex club without the sex is a bit like a bucket without a spade.

We also may still come down. Trying to work out what's best. A night away from the fam in filthy London might be fun. Sad for LB that it did not work out. I be prepared to pay full price for tickets if that would help the management to think about re opening again.

Why be angry. The club owners were going to allow people to break the law and there was every chance the boys in blue along with the press might raid the place. It was doomed from the start.

Maybe they could learn a thing or two from some other licensed clubs that are following the rules.

I've been saying from the outset that swingers clubs are history until the unlikely event in a vaccine being found. They will begin to fold like a pack of cards. A swingers clubs without sex haha you gotta laugh. Socialising only in a swingers club isn't going to sustain the club or the clientele.

Exactly. It’s like when I organise a social and have to turn some folk away as it’s at capacity and the doilies don’t show and then I feel awful on the ones that genuinely wanted to come. So frustrating

I think the Fab forums have become a meeting ground for the brainwashed masses....the virus is here to stay, life will adapt and in 3m time everyone will just have to get on with it.....and the clubs will re open. I’m sure if everyone who bought tickets turned up it would have been a great night.

Any club in that situation should just charge full price in advance, that will minimise the number of drop outs when numbers have to be limited.

I hope for D & K they can get going again soon. Xx

That’s why I think it’s a good idea to make people pay in advance to get a ticket. Do you remember the furore when they did that for the first time at the Leeds social. The usual “I’ve never bought a ticket in my life for a social and I’m not starting now”.

I bloody do. I paid her straight away as I know it’s a pest to pay out in advance when you’re just one person on a normal workers wage but I can see where people were thinking they were just after a profit! (She wasn’t. She’s lovely)

Such a shame the event didn’t go as planned. I am sure Le Boudior would have worked hard on getting permission and licensing with regards to been allowed to open.On a previous thread I believe Saturdays event was a social for couples only at £70 perhaps for some couples paying £70 for a social was a bit steep in the cold light of day.Either way it’s a shame for Le Boudior and those who were planning to go.

Isn’t it still a tad presumptuous to say they were going to break the law though?. It appears from posts on the forums that other venues have made facilities available for cpls to play in on they’re own - perhaps LB we’re doing the same ? (We’ve never been there so don’t know if that would be logistically possible there). Have you visited the club ? If so perhaps you might be able to comment on whether or not that would be viable ?

Also aren’t they a licensed premises? Id imagine that if they are, then they wouldn’t want to risk losing their licence by blatantly cocking a snook at the COVID regulations. I know from speaking to owners/managers at other clubs which have got an alcohol licence that it was hard enough to get the licence in the first place - so it might seem illogical to then risk losing it in that way - especially when by the nature of the venue, they might expect to attract closer scrutiny from the authorities than a “normal” licences premises.

100% correct. To many pathetic people with nothing better to say than doom and gloom.

We don’t understand, if you think no vaccine is going to be found that’s fairly simplistic thinking considering what the majority of the scientific community are saying.

However if you actually think if no vaccine is found that people will continue to social distance or that the government will continue to insist on it into next year then I’m not sure there’s any help for you.

Furthermore if you’re so against meeting socially or against clubs trying to open under current conditions, why are you still in Fab. Leave this clearly isn’t for.

We were there last night sitting on one of the socially distanced sofas with not very much on.

Extra staff were on hand to provide table service to the well spaced couples. We had sex with couples watching from afar, and no one crossed the floor lines to join in.

Such a shame LB called off future events, though we completely understand why. Hopefully we will get through this together. See you at the next reopening party.

I (JJ) loved the free Absolute vodka shots but can we have Thunder Toffee Vodka next time, pretty please

If you saw us, say hello xx

This is why the club has closed.

Having sex in the venue whether people came close to you or not isn't allowed.

No close contact that is why spas, swimming pools ect are not allowed to open.

So all the people sell you this club would not break the law your post has just confirmed it.

Obviously I don't want any club to close but I do one clubs to follow the rules.

Every club as far as I can tell except LB have said no play as the post above yours has just confirmed that didn't happen here which is why it's not gonna open.

It’s a damn shame. One of our favourite venues!!

The ‘New Normal’ appears to be here to stay......

Swinging with gloves and masks on - don’t think it’s gonna catch on..

We’ve enjoyed our time on the scene and have had some epic nights at both LB venues.

About a year ago on a night at LB, I remember saying “I’m looking forward to the memories of right now” to my wife, whilst in the midst of a sex fest on the giant bed. Looks like nights like that are gone forever

On a brighter note, let’s hope we all stay healthy and let’s try and keep this ‘lifestyle’ alive.

For now, we’re just networking and making friends on here.

Every LB thread you pop up badmouthing the club and wishing a business go bust in these difficult times is in very poor taste no matter how bad your experience was.

I have attended LB as a single male and as part of a couple and I found the staff extremely friendly and they always went the extra mile to make everyone’s night special.

I was totally wrong.

Like you said the event went ahead without a hitch.

As confirmed by a couple in this thread, Le Boudoir are allowing couples to have sex in a room with others in a socially distanced capacity.

Indoor gyms and other indoor sports facilities, any venues that allow dancing and any venues that allow singing or promote singing (aka why live music acts are not allowed) are still not permitted to open. The reasoning behind these continued closures is that increased respiration rates mean increased aerosol production resulting in an increased likelihood of transmission.

It’s clear that sex falls into this category - I mean if you aren’t breathing heavy you are doing it wrong aren’t you?!

I don’t blame the club for trying to make their business work and I don’t blame the couples who want a return to something of a normal night out, but from my perspective this is definitely too much too soon.

I think LB took a gamble, and lost. Most clubs are remaining closed and they decided to bend the rules and attempt to open in whatever capacity they could. Common sense ruled the day from the majority of people that didn't turn up.

I think you have a thing for LB cos you actually went off point to castigate and tarnish their image wit no proof.. if we both read the op post they were closing cos people didnt turn up and infact they were allowing 25 percent capacity.. what that tells some thick people here is they were actually following rules.. instead u went on a baseless rant bout them breaking rules and comparing them to other clubs that opened.. so if we may ask.. how did u deduce they were going to break rules cos u were sure other clubs were not going to break rules.. how did u know all this.. either u are thick or just showing vendetta cos maybe u were not allowed in the club..or u just dont like them. i see no reason why u should defame a club without proof.. fab should look into spoilers like u as you definitely out of line.. by the way am not part of LB and have no affiliation to them but just concerned at the apparent anger in u and rant with the sole aim of being a c.. without proof... #agenda#

Maybe they could learn a thing or two from some other licensed clubs that are following the rules.

#agenda#"

"We were there last night sitting on one of the socially distanced sofas with not very much on.

If you saw us, say hello xx"

What you are describing is actually the complete disregard LB had for anyone apart from themselves and their own finances... people having sex in a club environment is just mental, any infection model would put that as one of the highest risk scenarios going, social distancing, hard surface cleaning would make zero difference when you have potentially infected individuals ‘exerting’ within an enclosed space. How f@cking irresponsible to all others using that space through the night and as for their poor staff... well, what an employer.

I wonder how much their closure has to do with numbers, it wouldn’t surprise me if they haven’t been instructed to close their doors and just aren’t mentioning it. These forums have always been rife with journalists and to be blunt if they read posts like this, go to press and ruin the club it would be thoroughly deserved.

The whole ‘profits to the NHS’ sham is even more laughable than it was before.

It feels a very sudden change of tact... as many suggested why wouldn’t they just amend to full admission in advance Instead of giving up at the first hurdle? It ‘feels’ perhaps they got told to close their doors.

I'm really not sure why you 'feel' it may have been necessary to change the usual ticketing and entry procedures. Please explain ? Further why does it 'feel' that they were told to close their doors ?! We left the premises at about 2.15 am, and I can assure you there were no SAS operatives abseiling down from Apache AH-64 Gunship helicopters to secure the premises and terminate all inside etc.. On the contrary we had a pleasant chat with various members of staff as we left the club. We were a little tired though, as it was a great night !!

. I believe the club is open until 3.00 - 3.30 and you stayed until 2.15 and obviously had a good evening catching up with friends and making new friends. I believe that profits were going to the NHS and I think that’s a good thing to do in these difficult times so rather than criticising Le Boudior and as one guy said hoping it goes bust let’s try and see the positives of what they tried to do which in my eyes was to give couples a night out and raise money for a good cause. The real reasons why Le Boudior has closed their doors for the time being are obviously known to them.I am sure when the time is right Le Boudior will reopen again.

Why be angry. The club owners were going to allow people to break the law and there was every chance the boys in blue along with the press might raid the place. It was doomed from the start.

Maybe they could learn a thing or two from some other licensed clubs that are following the rules.

What makes you think they were going to allow people to "break the law"? Or is that just what you heard off Karen from Facebook

It was on there own site. Did you not read it?

What was written on their site ?

It stated that all the facilities would be open which speaks for itself and goes way beyond "social".

People and the media also stated that the opening of pubs will cause a second wave and the country will be back in lockdown by Monday.

Let's look at the facts not the assumptions. "

LB single handedly causing a UK wide lockdown aside (or not), what was actually going on in there? Was it more a social or just couples having solo sex a good distance from others? Curious to hear how it went as we’ve only ever seen LB packed and action everywhere

I think you probably need to appreciate when you spend time seeing people battling for their lives with Covid-19 it’s hard to see that.

It’s Akin to The English Defence League having a whip round for the BLM movement. it’s just plain insulting.

If as the couple above have said people where having sex the reality is they’ve created an environment which is one of the highest levels of risk to all within the venue. Singers can’t perform indoors, people can’t exercise in a gym, we can’t dance at a club for exactly the same reasons... It’s a game changer for infection potential. Why on earth would a responsible business owner condone or support that?

What princely sum was raised? Even if it’s a few grand that doesn’t even cover the cost of an ICU bed for a day. They have acted totally against all advice on the safety of their customers and staff... nobody who holds hands with the dying, speaks to the families or sees the long term damage to those who survive ICU would offer a single word of thanks... there’s no positives, there’s simply greed and selfishness.

I’m all for voyeurism, I’m all for clubs earning money in these difficult times, I’m all for sexual liberation... I just wouldn’t risk killing people in achieving those aims. I’d also rather people taking that risk didn’t do it under a smoke screen of doing it for the good of my NHS colleges.

If you want to look at the facts:

1) the consequences for this weekends easing won’t be known for around 12 days, that’s about the period of time where people getting Ill will hit critical. It’s unlikely to spiral us into a critical position but it may put us back on an upward trend which without lockdown will be incredibly hard to check.

2) we have fortunately been in the best of weather windows we could have to minimise the effects of this virus for about 2 months now, that however is now declining.

3) There isn’t a city based ICU that has been operating at less than 90% of capacity since the beginning of lockdown, in most cities the entire hospital has been focusing mainly on Covid-19 and still to this day a huge number of services remain closed because this virus occupies their capacity.

But... crack on bud x

Lol thank you for your opinion, it will be good to see where we are in a couple of weeks and debate it further

See, until this point I was enjoying reading both points of view and the debate was interesting...then you blew it. Not cool and you've lost me completely.

If that was unintentional, then you need to think before hitting the keyboard. If it was intentional, then it was a low blow. Either way, not nice to read.

You have no need to apologise to me, after a fair few years living my life as I do I appreciate people can make blunders, mistakes or indeed intentional comments that have no place in our society. The fact that people from different walks of life do the protesting on my behalf these days just serves to remind me how far we’ve all come.

It’s akin to me cracking out my early 90’s dungarees to impress on a night out... The laughter would be aimed purely at me, not the designer who thought they’d be cool 30 years back.

The blunder is yours alone to deal with, it didn’t and won’t bother me apart from an emotion of sympathy for your good self. Thank you for your correction, let’s consider that progress and discuss the matter no more x

3) There isn’t a city based ICU that has been operating at less than 90% of capacity since the beginning of lockdown

Do you have the source for this please?"

You can see it in the daily reporting from the trusts on capacity. For Manchester I know our reality is the Extended ICU’s are around 600% of what they should be in size and whether ventilated or CPAP are still beyond the patient to staff numbers we operate with in normal ICU guidance.

You can see it in reality wherever you live... all ICU’s have doubled their space temporarily at least, this is to provide Covid and none Covid treatment areas. Most hospitals have then extended space for their Covid patients and supported ICU with specialists from other services to plug the holes.

Our loss of service in the NHS wether that be surgery, cancer screening, drop in centres etc is the result of the extent those changes have been implemented.

The 90% actually refers to Edinburgh and Glasgow as trusts, they are in the potentially exciting times of having the possibility of being able to cater for their patient numbers in their standard operating space and teams (although at a very busy rate obviously). It’s an interesting moment for us all as they are the first big trusts to be in this place and as such we are watching and interested in the decisions and outcomes obviously.

For us personally (Manchester) we are nowhere near that, we have a figure around 320% of our trusts initial ICU provision and we are still burning oxygen at a rate that pre Covid would be that of as the stuff of fantasy. We see about 20 admissions a day into ICU... that’s a similar figure to an extremely serious Motorway RTA or something like the MEN bombing.

I can give you the positive spin though... we are at around 30% of our total capacity for Covid-19 patients, we have 400 spare beds across the trust and a further 750 beds in standby at the NW nightingale. That is a great thing don’t get me wrong but we are still a country mile away from any normality that our teams and spaces where originally setup to manage effectively.

Thanks for the info. So having 2 seats prevents abseiling ? 1 or 3 seats in a helicopter would be okay for tying of a rope to abseil down then one assumes ?

Presumably people are asking because they weren’t there and were wondering if LB (etc) are worth going to given the current restrictions. No worries if you want to keep it top secret. Y’know, because you were there.

You’d need skids a cargo platform and a hoist tie... the Apache has wheels none of the other items, hence why the AH1 Gazelle is used by the SAS for liberating embassy’s or indeed the theoretical high brow raid on a sex club

You carry on because it is being noticed.

Likewise your attitude is open for all to see. Good luck. xx

There is nothing wrong with my attitude. You have been rude or sarcastic or belittling to almost everybody that has posted to you I have called you out.

No idea what you mean really. No problem if you feel that using childish phrases like "CALLED YOU OUT" etc boosts your ego, then that is cool. Going by your arrogant posts , we would think you would attract a certain type of person. We prefer higher class people, so all is cool, Good luck swinging babes xx

Your reply here just says it all... Get your head out your ass mate.. Jesus... And what is a higher class of person in your opinion... Buying a wife from abroad? "

Classy comment . Quod erat demonstrandum.

You wouldn't get anyone abseiling down from an AH64 as it is a 2 seater attack helicopter.

Thanks for the info. So having 2 seats prevents abseiling ? 1 or 3 seats in a helicopter would be okay for tying of a rope to abseil down then one assumes ?

You’d need skids a cargo platform and a hoist tie... the Apache has wheels none of the other items, hence why the AH1 Gazelle is used by the SAS for liberating embassy’s or indeed the theoretical high brow raid on a sex club

So nothing to do with the number of seats in the aircraft - which you pointed out in your previous post ??"

That wasn’t my post but in defence of said helicopter guru he understands the principle of the Apaches pilot/gunner cockpit and the fact that the canopy cannot be opened during flight... he has excellent knowledge and his point was valid x

In fairness to you miss sparkle... from my recollection Miss Marples cleavage had nothing on yours, I also think her detective prowess is a bit insulted by suggesting it would take her skills to confirm people where fucking in the club.

Perhaps you should just accept ‘fair point’ is a really difficult phrase for a number of the worlds alphas to utter...

Jesus Christ... give it a break people, I mean

One couple said what their experience was like and the other chooses not to share.

Cool.

LB is closed for the foreseeable future as are some other clubs and we can speculate as to the reason for it closing after one night but I'm sure the only people that will know why are the owners.

Get a grip people, don't embarrass yourselves any further with childish back and forth.

We know clubs aren't allowed to operate as normal given the current climate and if people did play as one couple mentioned they did, it really shouldn't have happened. And if a couple who went that night and they wish to not disclose how their night went, then fine. As long as you have safe socially distanced fun.

The original post that mentioned it was talking about a bucket and spade, feck all to do with race.

Yup, but then he had to hashtag BLM when that wasn't what the person originally meant with the spade and bucket.

Do you have problem with #blm ? I'm not sure why you seem to object?

No, I have an issue with people shouting racism when there is no racism going on in the thread. It's bloody disgusting and makes a mockery out of real victims of racism.

100% agree

Are you on the same thread as me? YOU'RE the one that did it

Sorry ? Did my objection to racist terms offend you ? Puzzled..."

Just did not see the point in even mentioning it, the comment had nothing to do with racism at all......

(Facepalm)

Exactly the other guy was referring to a bucket and spade then this tool hash tagged it.. Jesus

More this #sad and pathetic really. Still I suppose its one way to get the attention they obviously crave"

There's always going to be one isn't there

I really wish you would just change your profile picture to the male half as we know it's you talking and I really don't think your poor wife would speak this way.

You have an arrogant air about you that is truly disgusting.

You know very well that the person on the thread causing the issue is yourself, don't feint innocence.

You turned a simple bucket and spade (as in tools to dig soil or sand) into a derogatory term by association with the hashtag #BLM (Black Lives Matter). Why?

As a person of colour, very much like your wife, I took offence in your blatant remark to make a mockery of the movement and put words into the mouth of the man who was simply talking about a bucket and spade (digging tools).

If you're a trolling and gas-lighting at your age, I pity you.

Have some respect for yourself and others, step off your high horse, humble yourself and get some bloody perspective.
