"Some of these clubs seem to be in quite run down areas, ie. near docks, industrial estates, next to scrap yards etc, are they safe? " People keep going back to them so they must be safe. Various factors for the locations such as cost, lack of nosy neighbours determine where clubs are. | |||

This includes a structural inspection by a regulated 3rd party prior to opening to the general public. | |||

We also have an intercom system so we can see who is approaching the building, so not just anybody can walk in. We don't have licensed doormen as we have never needed one. The police have been called twice in 15 years for other issues on the main road that we have seen on the cctv involving other people and not customers. | |||

Unfortunately, society doesn’t see it that way, which is why swingers & fetishists like to be discreet & keep their choices as a personal thing. Many of us are in jobs that we would be at risk of losing if we were ‘outed’. Culturally, Swinging & BDSM is very much where being gay was in the 60’s - there is a stigma attached to it. Which is why clubs actually put effort into ensuring the exterior of their premises don’t attract any attention. Unlike pubs, they don’t need ‘kerb appeal’. What they do need is to provide their guests with a safe environment - safe to play, safe to socialise & safe to remain discreet about what they are doing. Don’t like it, don’t come. Simple | |||
