Why have I recently not been able to view a lot of cams, I just get the blank screen and message "searching for cam"?

I was just about to ask the same question.

Also there’s some cams that don’t show at all although they are within the cam section and it’s obvious that they are on cam due to others comments. I was thinking maybe I was filtered out from viewing due to age or gender.

All the issues are due to the flash plugin. Support for it stops later this year. In chrome you need to now allow flash on fab. Have to go into settings and unblock it and even then you have to physically allow it each time you visit the chat rooms. Previously the problem was just sound related but now its video as well.

As far as I know, it's just a case of fab overhauling the chat rooms to solve the issue but until they do, it's going to be an issue for some.
