Cam problem

Hello there.

I am having a problem to get (and keep) my cam working in the chatrooms. I am not new to the site and everything has been fine until today. I am using the same webcam too.

What happens is that most of the time the cam icon will come up at the start but it will dissappear after about 30 secs or so. Occasionally my cam will not be visible at all.

During this whole process i can see my cam and it seems to be fine (works ok with other applications).

I have tried other browsers, restarting the computer etc as suggested but this has been of no help. There was a lady on the chat who also had the same problem.

Any ideas? Thanks.

i just put a new cam on my pc and it worked straight away

We've got an update planned over the weekend to hopefully resolve these problems.

We'll update here when that has happened.

In meantime worth trying another browser, flash re-install etc.

The update is: Most people have reported it's OK now and we were awaiting anyone saying the were having problems. Now you have reported a problem, we'll look into it tomorrow

So far as we see your cam never starts broadcasting. Let us know exactly what your problem is and what you see and we'll try and help

My friend is also having problems with his webcam. He's new to the site and cant reply/post yet, however he bought a webcam last night and cant get it to work in the chat room.

It registers on his laptop. We have downloaded adobe flash player (twice!!), rebooted etc and still no luck!

Has anyone got any advice or tips please so he can be seen.
