Is it possible to fix the main chat box problem of dropping down every time someone types a new comment?

Often, I want to scroll back up the chat to see a comment I missed, but, it becomes impossible, as the comment box drops back down to the bottom when someone types a new comment. This is very frustrating. It would be much better if you could check previous comments in the main chat, without it dropping back down to the newest comment. People find this very annoying, and it surely must be an easy fix.

Its annoying when you cant scroll up, and agree with it needing to besorted.
