Cam broadcast not working in Chrome

I use Fab in my mac using Google Chrome and had been for years with no issue until the other day

Through Chrome I can no longer broadcast my cam but am presented with a message about the HTML 5 update. Cam broadcasts fine via Safari and FireFox but Chrome is my browser of choice...

Can this be looked into and fixed please?

Thanks

does your cam work generally on WIndows 10? I had to get a new cam when Win 10 first came out...even though my previous cam was a Microsoft one - the irony

I posted a similar message a week ago. I don't mean that as a criticism in any way, just to highlight that others have had the issue.

I went into chrome and temporarily changed it to run Flash plug-ins without asking. My cam then worked. I then changed it back.

Now, I can run my cam ok like I used to (ladies, breathe easy!). Other people's cams now run automatically though, despite it being set to needing CTRL+click.

It did say cams could run without Flash now. I'm wondering if mine are running that way now.

I'm not sure this helps much, sorry! I'd really like to know what's going on!

I did a quick google last night, you need to enable flash.

Search for chrome plugin's and enable flash to always run. Back to normal now. Odd that it switched itself off, must have been part of an update.

Chrome has made a change in an update so you need to manually enable flash

If you set to always allowed to run or enable just for fabswingers site, either will work

Google for more info

There no Official Flash Plugin extension available in Chrome Extensions that I can see.

Does it not have something to do with Fab running the notice regarding flash not been required to view cams in what would normally be the cam log-on window.

Just a thought.

still got problems that if you turn off your computer the flash needs sorting again when you restart. This is getting to be a pain.

Thanks guys

This doesn't seem to work for me.

I have Chrome set so it asks before running Flash (just checked again).

It doesn't do that though - it just runs the cams automatically.

Like others here, I wondered if the cams were now running automatically as it wasn't Flash powering them (I had that message about that in my own Cam box).

Any info gratefully received.

in chrome address bar type chrome:plugins then tick the box to allow flash. I've had to it twice but it seems to be ok now, fingers crossed.

Torridge area of Devon

if you are using Window 10

you can open fabs up in Windows Explorer.

You just need to search for it and add it to your shortcuts.

The default for Windows 10 is Edge and it wont give you cam access..

You dont need to buy another webcam
