Sometimes there's a lag when someone leaves a room.

You message them and ask which room they are in or you stalk from room to room

Surely the developers could develop a way to link a person to the room. In oter words if you see someones in a chat room from their profile you press the little speech bibbke and it takes you to that room.

all costs money to do these things, site owners keep cost down and even free if you chose not to pay

As pointed out before it could put a lot of using chat not everyone wants to be found. If implemented it should only allow friends to find you, not all those pesky stalkers
