Hi,

We're planning to update chat at around 6.30/7am tomorrow (weds) morning with a small update:

* It'll be more obvious when chat rooms are full so if you don't want to click and go read only (site supporters) you know not to.

* We're restricting who can send/receive private messages in chat to those who have been on the site for over a week and who are either site supporter OR verified OR photo-verified. This is for everyone's safety in chat and to help stop spammers. We've also put a reminder that private chats are still logged and available to Admin, again for safety.

All being well we'll be rolling out another another chat update later this week early next which will resolve the "users sneaking in more than one room in new chat" issue

Is there any possibility of restoring the 200 in chat rooms. We find 175 so slow that we start nodding off....we really can't understand the logic of reduced numbers as we have always been able to keep up with what is going on.

We're open to suggestions on this. We got lots of feedback 200 was too high but maybe 175 is too low. Anyone else?

Ok this change is now live. Just a reminder:

* Better visibility of full rooms (they say "full", have strikethrough)

* Safer PMs, users can only PM if they are site-supporter OR photo-verified OR verified by others. They must also have been on site over a week.

* Default Pm setting in new chat for new users is now friends only

Last night although rooms were not up to capacity when we joined them they put us on view only mode and when we were active in rooms on cam turned off the cam sign so we we not sure if we were on cam
