on gaydar they have chat rooms by geographic area and by niche interest eg chubbies, leather/rubber, piss etc

some are more popular than others but overall it seems to work quite well for them

not sure how the membership / demographics compare to this site tho

it's not singling out

the way gd works is a non paying member can go in 3 rooms at a time and a paying member 10 rooms

so someone can stay in general chat, but also go into rooms for any specific areas they are interested in.

i'm not a member there any longer so the exact room numbers could be wrong, but the general concept is still there

I guess the general one-size-fits-all rooms will always be popular, but there's nothing wrong with niche rooms if people wish to use those instead... we pretty much have that to a degree on here already (Northern, Scotland, Wales, London, etc).

The problem at the moment is that at 175 in a room the chat is slow and becomes boring. Forget about adding extra rooms lets get back to some speed and fun...200..hopefully with all on cam.

for me.. one good thing for the chatroom would be able to scroll up with out having to fight with the screen.

there has been many a times i have missed something and tried to scroll back up to read it.. but every time someone types a message, the screen drops to the bottom again.. its highly annoying.

could this bug be fixed ?

I think too many rooms would be daft, but i can see that a few more rooms that would attract people with things in common would be a good idea: ie: A gay/bi room for men, and maybe rooms for each area simlar to London/Scotland rooms.(EG: West Mids room

)
