Mobile keyboard issues

I used to use the arrow on the bottom right hand corner of the keyboard on my mobile to send messages in chat. All that arrow does now is drop whatever I am typing to the next line! Can anyone help please!! I've tried different types of keypads on my mobile without success! Any input would be greatly appreciated!
