Web cam and Windows 10

I've recently started to use a Lenovo laptop on Windows 10. When I try and launch the webcam I've always clicked the ""above not working link" which gives a pop up and then I select the Allow option.

Using the new laptop when I get the Allow option it wont allow me to click on it.

Flash is embedded in IE and it says its up to date.

Any help appreciated

I have windows 10.

I use Firefox and the Web cam is OK.

Every so often I get "video driver has recovered" errors.

One day m$ will finish writing win 10

Internet Explorer might be the issue, it's all we have at work and several sites don't work as intended (and some flat out just tell you to upgrade to a different browser - I think YouTube does, as do a few sites heavily reliant on Flash or HTML5).

Firefox or Chrome = no problems

The default browser in Win 10 (Edge) doesn't allow add-ins like Flash. You can get back to old IE though - from the Edge browser go to the far right menu(...) 2nd or 3rd from bottom there should be an Open in Internet Explorer option that should get you working again.

This is correct Edge is not great but IE still exists on the windows 10 builds, in addition to what was said I would also right click on the Internet explorer icon when you find it and pin to the task bar for quick access, do similar with the edge icon on the task bar and un pin it
