try using another browser like mozilla firefox have had problems with cams not being compatible with explorer

HP Laptop here, hav e found Opera to be the best browser for cams etc.

when you go to shut down go into pc setting and it will give you an option to install updates. Try that. Hope you get it sorted

Right click on the area where your cam should be and click on settings. In the resulting box make sure that you allow access to your webcam, and make sure that the correct webcam is selected.

on my hp pavillion I have to click on the 'webcam not working option' and then its asks for webcam access once in the webcam window and then my mozilla firefox asks for access and it comes on once I have allowed both!
