Newbies blocked

Can someone tell me how long does it take for a newbie to be able to send messages or is it that someone has newbies blocked? I can't find that in the privacy section.My partner and I just made a new couples profile and went to send a message and the reply was try again later.cheers

Unless someone has filters on in which case it's either 5 or 7 days
