Can't see a user

Hi, I was in a chat room where I couldn't see a user but they could see me and view my cam. Any thoughts as this is a new user and I wondered if there's a hide in chatroom setting somewhere? Thanks

Look in your privacy settings.

"Chat: In chat, site supporters can enter full rooms (only) in view-only mode. If they view your cam, you won't see that in the room list. You can opt out of this so your cam will be hidden from these users."
