Blocking members in chat rooms

What you all think about a block option where users can block a gender.

Instead of having to go through every member and block individually. As we all know there are 100 odd men to every woman on Fab and when in chat rooms an you have your cam on, it shouldn't be a free for all view. Don't get me wrong i have nothing against Gay, Bi or TV's etc but I don't like the idea of man knocking 1 off whilst watching my cam.

So instead of blocking each member, surly there should be an option to block M, MM, TV's F, and couples, sure some gay or bi members don't like straight members watching them either.

It should be up to you who views your cam not this site.

Or maybe a better option would be everyone should be automatically blocked, and if the want to view, send a view request. If you are happy for the member to view you allow them to.

This would also protect women a bit more, because I've been in chat rooms an the abuse some women get is beyond the joke. Yes they can block anyone who's being disrespectful, but that taks ages to do as soon as 1 is blocked there's another 20 joined the room.

Thoughts please

Thought?

If you don’t want people viewing your cam in chat then turn it off!

"Thought?

Why should they have to turn it off?! They obviously want it on to interact with people. They are talking about using a block like you can use message filters, ie blocking all men or couples for example, rather than having to block every individual person of those sexes. I can see their point, I think it would be a good idea. Would you really want to have to go into a room with 175 people on cam at the same time (yes, this is quite a common occurrence!) and have to individually block 145 profiles 1 by 1 because you don't want to interact with them? That could be really time consuming, not to mention clogging up your blocklist!

.

I get the ops point about blocking, I've had issues blocking one particular profile, I have to do it every time I log back on,

But blocking Males or females for example or only allowing certain people to watch your cam will only create cliques and will exclude a huge amount of people, (Who pay to use the site) That's not fab wants

Welcome to The world of a woman. As you said there's 100:1 here. So a woman could potentially have 100 guys knocking one out over her.

I think there should be an age blocker too or something linked to your profile to stop anyone any age from viewing your cam, I find it disgusting when I see for eg,ppl above my age that's set in profile cam just view my cam when they want, its main reason y I don't use the chat rooms much

We have used the fab chatrooms for many many years, we even met in there 7 years ago as singles! Prior to fab, I used chatrooms on various sites, going back to the days of wap chat on mobile phone around 20 years ago. This is creating a problem that really isn’t there. No one is forcing anyone to interact with people in the chat rooms, it’s quite easy to just ignore those who do not interest you.

Personally speaking, I think it would be a great idea to have cam filters.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts/comments hopefully if enough members comment maybe Fab will do something. As far as members pay so should be able to view every cam, members who show their cam also pay, therefore should have the option of who views it. Also agree it would give the ladies more protection.

I actually think this would be an amazing idea! There are many reasons I've avoided going onto cam, and you just reminded me of most of those (plus I hate the thought of others seeing me while I see them. I'd rsther therr was an option for one or both parties to turn off video and/or audio as and when like Zoom does

The point about members pay, Only a small percentage cam, More people just watch cams so if they can't watch or there is a limit on the cams they won't continue being a site supporter, I'd rather have a choice on who watches my cam as well but I can't see it happening

That's not the point of the OP. They are wanting to only cam with certain groups of people, like the way message filters are used.

I think it would be a great idea to request to view. Have to admit sometimes it’s nice to just be camming with the one person although I appreciate there are other apps for that but it’s nice being in the chat room with everyone else

Most people in chat don't turn their cams on, They are in there to talk, but I do agree if they haven't typed something they should be timed out a lot sooner then it does

Surely it doesn't matter who is watching? You're camming on a swinger site, with men, women, TV/TS, and couples. You're not being forced to watch them, it's them watching you. And if you feel like women are aroused watching you, then obviously some men are going to be turned on too, but again, you're not watching them knock one out.

In this day and age, why are people still offended by another person's sexuality?

Obviously it matters who's viewing your cam. I like most would like to decide who views my cam. This is not Facebook and not everyone approves of swinging, plus I wouldn't want someone I know viewing my cam without me knowing, plus like most men of my age I have grown up children who could be on here, certainly wouldn't want them viewing my cam. Plus I'm not into the thought of TV's an gay men viewing me, not that I'm against gay or TV's but not my thing.

Not wanting people to orgasm over you means you're offended by their sexuality? Those people can do what they like and like what they like, doesn't mean they can use anyone and everyone to do so

I think you're forgetting their's a bi-directing room they can easily go in there and find people who would want that
