My next door neighbour owns a campsite, he is also a councilor, he has told me that they have been told that campsites will be closed all season

"do u get a refund if u have payed to put your caravan on for the season"

My neighbour does this, he doesn't know, he needs to speak to his accountant and solicitor apparently before he can make a decision, I suspect he will give a fair percentage of it back, in his case part of the cost has been for storage and dragging the caravans out for the season. I suspect he will charge only for storage and moving from what he was saying and refund the rest but I suppose it depends on contracts and the individual campsite.

It's not a nice situation for anyone

We ve had three trips cancelled so far and have been offered a credit to use within the next eighteen months and have accepted this as the sites we use are smaller. In the hope they can get through the coming months with no income

I’m in the position of having booked a camper van, I’ve been offered a credit or cancellation 75% back, however, if I leave it and turn up to collect the ‘van and they are not allowed to hire one out should I be entitled to a full refund???

Thoughts please???

To add to my previous thread, if I order something online and it’s not available I either get a credit or my money back.

Wakefield/ Beverley

I would think that by the time we get through this with a vaccine the season will have finished we've re-booked a holiday for Dec this year and I think that's possibly doubtful.
