Done camping for many years . Now wife is suggesting we buy a static caravan or lodge somewhere in Scotland. For those who have one . Is this a good idea. Pros and cons please . Regards

There are a few good points to having a static van if you find the right site for you, but be aware you will end up lossing money on the van you buy on site, plus the site fees can be quite expensive depending on what's on the site. I had one near Aberystwyth for 12 years till the site fees got to dear
