"Luv the airtents" We have 2 airtents, 1 for taking on the bike and one we took for weekends away with the car, but the car one is now redundant with having the campervan. Air tents are amazing

"we have a camper van and use a tent rather than a awning. cook in the tent. i sleep in it if shes snoring lol" My preference. Set the tent up ajacent to the sliiding door of the van. Sleep in the comfort of the van and use the tent for cooking, storage etc. With the tent awning making the interface to the van. Keep foul weather wear and boots airing in the tent. In certain situations the tent can mate with the van tailgate but that makes a very long unit. Depends on the shape of the pitch. Magnets, the really powerful ones out of old hard drives, are your friends for mating tent and van.

"Tent camper here xx usually at naturist sites. Love the freedom" We're not a fan of clothing. We pretty much exclusively camp at naturist site. Plus the social side at naturist sites is so much more friendlier we find. It's how we spend a lot of the summer.

We’re also naturists but unfortunately due to the lack of sites we do spend a fair amount of time on textile sites, however luckily we do have plenty of friends who join us and we tend to pick the smaller sites so we can get away with far more, obviously we have to be sensible and it has to be adults only.

" To be fair in an adult only setting people tend to be chill with nudity as long as its done respectfully out the way and not in people's faces. Definitely wish there were more designated naturist or clothing optional site because there's always that concern someone takes offence. We tend to do a lot of wild swimming as nature intended. We've not had issues with passers by yet. But again we do our best to apply common sense and respect.

"Had a few enjoyable evenings watching the silhouette of couples having sex. 😆" That the one of the main drawbacks with tents, they are very private or soundproof.

"Had a few enjoyable evenings watching the silhouette of couples having sex. 😆 That the one of the main drawbacks with tents, they are very private or soundproof. " We've definitely been very conscious of where we've place the light on some campsites

"Those with air tents, have they been reliable? I’ve always had my doubts about them after seeing one get a puncture at a site in Wick. " We've had air tents for years after getting sick of poles snapping. You can repair a puncture on your air bladder so a puncture isn't a problem. We once had a problem with a valve but managed to cobble something to get us through the weekend which can be done for any tent. We just bought a new bladder once home and all is good. We would never have a tent with poles again, air tents are much more reliable and easier to put up and down. They are also better in the wind, don't buckle in the wind like poled tents

"We're tent campers. We have an octagon tent which we love as there's plenty of room and can stand up in it. We joined a campers tg group but it's 99% motorhomers and campervans, and would be great to be part of a group of tent only camping couples for some nice summer getaways. If there's any such thing let us know, but we're only interested in couples only camping...sorry single men. " Why are you sorry? I'll still camp in my tent and have fun with others, your choices don't effect. Glad that you love camping in a tent as much as I do though ⛺😃

"I have a steel poled Vango Palena tent. Needs two people to get it set up. Just ordered a smaller Vango Air Beam tent. Should be able to sort it on my own. I do need to get back to Naturist camping. Will be selling the Palena sleeps 4 comfortably." New tents arrived, very easy to pitch, need to sort trips in May or August.

"I'm considering an air beam tent for ease of erection. Just wondering what people's experience is. Are they strong enough if weather turns bad. Many years of camping experience but not recently. " I've only just got my first Airbeam tent. I think properly pitched shouldn't be a problem. Not likely to use it until May so will see then.

"Those with air tents, have they been reliable? I’ve always had my doubts about them after seeing one get a puncture at a site in Wick. " Just buy a spare airbeam. They pack down to nothing as we found puncture repairs a bit of a faff. They are bulky when packed up but a big poled tent is considerably heavier than a big air tent. The tent material will make a difference. But as most manufacturers do air tents that kind of tells you all you need to know.

"Tent campers here, albeit with a little bit of luxury in the form of 4” thick mattresses, comfy camp chairs and double burner for those warm evenings with steak and wine and open air ! (Mind you, you do have to be…errmmmmm…try to be quiet at certain times !!)" Yes indeed, tent material has zero sound deadening qualities.
