"Hi

I did when growing up, every weekend. However, now I'm unable to do the fells I get out to do flat walks or ones with a decent path. However, trying to find a parking place in the lakes is awful and it's quite busy too. I tend to avoid and stick to the coast or the fringes of the lakes.

Yea parking is a huge issue even in the 'off season'. i try using the buses as much as i can now. Its quite nice being sat on the bus trundling through from village to village enjoying the view though. Most of the popular walking routes now have a bus service passing by, so just need to plan according to that.

I found my love of hiking a couple of years ago and climbed Catbells for my first Wainwright in May 2023. I then decided to attempt all of them before 2030.

I'm currently on a whopping 3 Wainwrights lol

I should be on 24, but the universe had other plans

"No map in hell" Steve Birkinshaw, is well worth reading. Endurance runner with the record for running them.

I do them regularly and stay in my motorhome.

Love the great outdoors.

Sometimes in the summer I get to walk naked but need to keep my eyes peeled.

I still need to sit down and work out which ones I've done and what's left.

I know I've done alot of the main ones and the outliers

The UK is tiny 😂 it's only a few hours and you can tick a few off every few days your out there.

I spent alot of my twenties walking with a group so there were opportunities to bag a few.

There is a very good app for recording them etc that I use and find useful (free)

Slowly working through them

Love the Lakes

I’m very keen to walk with others, possibly even used for dares or being forced to walk naked, or carry bags.

I’m in the Lake District in the summer for a weeks walking and wild camping if anyone would like to meet up for some of it or make use of me on route!

Start in Keswick. Plenty of beginner Wainwright hikes to be had, Catbells. Latrigg. Dodd. Walla Crag.

Check you a YouTube channel called Trekking with Tony, his videos are excellent, he explains the routes really well and posts links to OSMaps so you can check it out.
