Can anyone recommend a campsite close to Studland Beach for a camper van……. Naturist or vanilla……. I don’t think there is one within walking distance so any recommends close by would be greatly appreciated!

I used to go to Burnbake campsite, between Corfe and Studland. Either cycle to the beach or drive, definitely too far to walk

couple, us we him her.

Just Google site in Swanage there's loads, just be aware they are all family friendly and not swinging sites.

There's a summer pop up nudist site but it's pretty basic and hilly.

I'm staying there in July, not to far to drive to the beach

It's a fairly easy cycle as well.

Also Norden Farm Campsite is a great site with brilliant facilities, it's just outside of Corfe Castle and is about an 8 mile cycle ride along lanes and heathland tracks.

It is accessible by campervan although the road leading to it, called "sandy lane is very narrow (especially the Corfe Castle end) with few passing places; turn off the road into the campsite (field) is also a bit tricky as the ground rises quite steeply and is uneven dirt and rocks.

To appease the neighbours, the site has needed to restrict the amount and type of vans that stay there; it's always worth having a chat with the site manager as I have seen some small campers there.

It's a pretty narrow road, but I think the issue is more to do with turning into the site and getting out, big campervans are not known for their manoeuvrability.

Another recommendation for Studland Summer camp. Bare bones family naturist site. Usually a good sociable crowd around the fire in the yurt of an evening.

Just a few bits to note. It's on a sharp hill and not much flatish ground on site. Depending on the size of your van and competence the very narrow roads, tight walled turns and sharp hills on the road upto the site maybe challenging. Facilities are very bare bones, think composting toilets and a hose pipe.

Yeah we had payed to stay a few years ago, rocked up at the site a quick walk around and made a hasty retreat and found a more comfortable site.

We understand camping is supposed to be a bit rough but we enjoy our creature comforts a bit too much.

Like a nice shower, decent toilet and WiFi

There's now flushing toilets and hot showers; I'm sure that someone could find you a hose if you really want one.

here and there

Please could someone tell us about walking access to the beach, as the wife walks with a crutch. Walking is fine, but if to much of an incline or decsent she may struggle.

It’s a good walk the same as any naturist beach but it has a good level pathway which is maintained by NT.

The final section is sandy and there is a short incline onto dunes that back onto the beach.

Alternatively, there is paid parking at the west end of the beach after the dunes have finished and it’s possible to walk the shoreline to the naturist area.

Hope this helps.

It's a fair walk from either direction, all will be on sand.

If you park on the road and walk through the dune's it brings you out in the middle of the beach.

There's no facilities at all here.

If you park in the car park there's a cafe and toilets, although on busy days they get pretty grim but that's the UK for you.

And it's probably a ten minute walk either on the path ( sand)

Or the actual beach.

So if mobility is an issue be aware.

There's a third alternative parking in the ferry car park studland side and walk, although we've never done this one as the car park gets really busy and one again a decent walk on sand.

Do a Google maps search and look at satellite images.

Lot's of families and textiles around plus the meerkats in the dunes.

Let us know where you are going to be....so we can inform the local authorities about inappropriate behaviour ina public space.

FFS families with children are present in this area.

Why risk it? Go to a club.
