So as the title suggests, how sturdy is a tentbox? My partner and I are about to purchase one at the end of the month and it's been a question in my mind, I assume pretty solid but you do wonder

I have a latitude roof tent. Owner for a few years. It's the simple fold out design that hangs off the side of the car. Same as most of the other brands like tent box or arb

Can withstand a threesome, more and I would be concerned. Space would also become an issue (or not)

you tend to naturally gravitate towards the more secure side.

I have the ikamper sky camp and it’s a great tent , pricey mind but there is alternatives out there with similar design . I have an old 4x4 and it’s mounted onto a roof rack using the gutter rails and its solid
