Hi all,

We are looking to buy a camper van but have hit a roadblock in that there is so much out there to choose from. Either made for ones or those transit van conversions.

Does anyone have any recommendations on what's best to get?

Just two of us mostly. Only for the occasional trips out to the seaside or to camping sites. Probably twice a month. Think I've got analysis paralysis!

My first idea going back 15 years ago was to hire one to get a feel for a week and actually go somewhere far enough to try it out. I hired a proper 5 berth and loved it.

First need to decide how your goin to use it and how willing to "rough it " you are . If it's going to be odd night away on a site . Or weeks away staying off away from sites more then in them.. then you'll have an idea of what's needed in the van and the size

There are quite a few things to consider.

Buying campervans after covid after the covid boom means there are lots of shoddy but look nice home builds.

Layouts and bed systems can make or break a good conversion.

Budget too is important ...

If you want to chat drop us a PM, have a pretty good understanding on most of the pitfalls.

But would ask

Budget

How often you will use for how long.

What type of places you want to stay ( off grid stealth, camp sites )

We are admin for an owners group so used to asking the right questions
