Yup, hammock, tent, snow holes on mountains, car and camper van.

Sea kayaking to a deserted beach is my favourite method of wild camping.

There are a series of books called Wild Guide, the have copies for Wales, Cumbria, Scotland etc..

Get the Wales one, and there's a beach I absolutely love to wild camp on, it's on the Llyn Peninsula and it's full of sea bass.
