i built ours was a hi top mini bus, got everything we need, kitchen area, double bed, electric, heating, tv, awning & we love it, dont see the point spending loads wen you can build for 1/4 the cost, i got a 2003 LDV CONVOY low roof goin up for sale soon, cpl lil jobs for mot then be up for sale,

There are loads of sub 10k campers for sale, especially in the camper Facebook groups. I would suggest you make a list of "must have's" for what your wanting and stick to it so you don't end up disappointed. Also be aware of rust as many campers suffer with corrosion more than a panel van as all the moisture and condensation gets trapped in the soft coverings.
