Wild camping in Snowdonia

I have an absolute passion for mountain walking and wild camping here in N Wales, mostly in the areas less travelled. I'm usually happily solo but thinking it would be great to have some fit company every now and then. Just wondering if there's anyone else on here who loves to pitch a tent somewhere spectacular and share a night or two under the stars.

I'm a retired mountaineering instructor and know the mountains well, just can't stay away!

Male or female....not expecting 'playing' but totally laid back and open minded.

A beautiful day in the mountains yesterday, perfect weather after a very frosty start.

Like you, I share a huge love for Eryri (Snowdonia). I visit 2/3 times a year and love walking in the less busier areas.

I do love the solitude, but sometimes think company would be nice.

I camp, unless it’s late autumn or winter. I don’t generally wild camp, because that takes more effort and organisation!

It’s an amazing area .

Love camping in North Wales.

Tend to wild camp a fair bit, like you happy to solo it but always find sharing the experience is better

Yes, I'd love to. Not sure how I'll find the time, but keep me posted. North Wales is up there in my favourite UK destinations

Just setting out for an overnight camp on Cader Idris, hoping for some magical snow and starry night pics.

Absolutely amazing night sky up at Llyn y Gader just below summit. Snow sparkling in the moonlight. Way below freezing but snug as a bug in the sleeping bag...just perfect

Next week's wild camp will be in the Moelwyns. Some company would be very welcome.

Where's a good safe spot for a wild virgin camper?

Do you mean safe from being moved on/disturbed or safe terrain? The lake above Llanrhaeadr waterfall is a good easy walk to camp by. Lots of good places around the Ceiriog forest too.
