Hoping we can average 28mpg, so should only need one fuel stop....its the big hills that kill the mpg, not that the car notices them...lol..

the Only Fuel depot for Cornwall is plymouth and all supermarkets and fuel suppliers use same fuel bunkers you see them lined up there so there is no differance in morrissons fuel comes out of same storage tanks just they get cheaper rate

"Morrisons diesel is substandard. My mpg plummets on that stuff and my engine diagnostic light keeps coming on."

Nissan Xtrail T31 fully loaded with full tank of fuel ran back to Lancashire yesterday at 41.3mpg from diesel at Morrisons, Newquay.

65mph allowing it to tail off up hill, 70-75mph downhill, gentle acceleration and not allow engine breaking on the downhills by jyst touching the accelerator to open up the air intake.

Roads were quiet except little build up around Bristol and Birmingham.

Ran on Morrisons diesel all week with plenty if power and cheapest in North Cornwall.

There is an app "petrol prices" worth installing as some are 20p dearer down there..

Far end of Perranporth beach when tide is out - can be fun

Although a few year ago there was a few red faces there after a group of airmen from St Mawgan got caught with pants down - excuse the pun!

I'd fill it sooner and a couple of Jerry cans. Went up £10 per tank while I was away.

Used Sainsburys 6p lite vouchers, filled car and 4x cans to get down. Worked out 159.9 per litre. 2x cans left for this week.

Keep eye on supermarkets for offers. Sainsburys wanted of purchase of £65nor more, just buy an electrical item, keep and use voucher - take said item back week later for refund.

Diesel will store for 3 months ir with additives, longer to kill Diesel bug.

Those were the days!!!

Just out of Perranporth only 5mins away, we go down every year & always have a walk along the beach to the far end of perran sands but have never seen anyone nude on there, we just stay on the main Perranporth beach near the rocks, closer to the pub than perran sands lol,

Be careful heading out to the rock and turning left. Dirty ole men lurking in the caves.

Took a lady there a few years ago, got friendly in a cave to realise 6x guys were watching us.

I'd agree the little cove N of Gwithian is gorgeous. The north end of Perranporth has nudists, and in the dunes (again at the north end) is nudity+ but it's not the best!
