Hi everyone, we are thinking of taking our Camper to the Rene Oltra campsite at Cap de Agde. Can anyone recommend a good pitch that is closer to the nightlife but away from any noise? Thank you in advance.

Anywhere on the campsite is quite a distance from the noise of the village nightlife. I have always found all areas of the site peaceful and friendly. Some friends of mine had a pitch right opposite the bar/shop and even that pitch was quiet. Have fun.

Another thing to take into consideration is that some Allees are tarmaced and some are not. The ones which are not paved can be a bit dusty when vehicles go past.

Also, some toilet blacks are better than others !

There is a very detailed site map on the Rene Oltra website, which you can download.

We've stayed on Rene Oltra quite a few times in our caravan, thoroughly recommended it

We stay near the beach probably as far from the village as you can be. It’s closest to the “fun” end of the beach. Bonus though is this electric bus/massive golf buggy that delivers people back to their pitches after a night out.

It’s a great place to go and never a dull moment!

Yes, but don't forget that the South of France can be very hot in the summer, so take that into consideration if taking a pooch !

I was pleasantly surprised when I camped there a few years back. I thought the campsite was great.

Made me wonder why I’ve never seen a review in either of the big UK caravan club magazines?

We camped there in a little two man tent once

Planning to drive our camper down there one day. Have some great memories from the beach bar and the clubs at night.
