I’m looking at getting a small camper van for days away, it’s only for me so doesn’t have to be large and I’d also like to use it as a day to day vehicle.

I’ve seen a few Citroen Berlingo, is there a similar size van that people recommend or is the berlingo a good option.

Berlingo’s can be quite expensive since micro campers became very sought after. I have a Citroen Nemo which is same as Berlingo but slightly smaller. Many people also use a Fiat Kangoo, which is not quite as comfortable.

Would be inclined to wait for a couple of years before buying. As soon as the hordes can get back to Benidorm there will be plenty for sale, hardly used and at bargain prices!

I gave up on buying one this year as the prices kept going up as previous post said wait a couple of years then there’ll be a glut on the market. I can have my tent up in 10 mins so it’s going to get a bit more use now

The Mazda Bongo (also badged as a Ford Freda) Is very popular- there’s a Women with bongos Facebook group

You don’t have to have a bongo to join, other vehicles welcome and I think they allow women who are thinking of getting one too

Be sure to buy a post emission scandal Caddy. On the 1.6 diesel, fuel injectors fail constantly and cost £600 each to replace. There are four on each vehicle!

I know, I had one, I got rid after the second one went and am with Slater and Gordon fighting for compensation from VW.

getting a good bongo isn't easy as they have serious rust issues, also being an automatic they aren't great on fuel for an everyday van. Saying that if you can find a good one they are a perfect size
